Nike Malibu Speed and Hurdles Camp Dates Released for 2017
San Rafael, CA: Home to the Nike Malibu Speed and Hurdles Camp, Pepperdine University in Malibu commands a majestic view of the world famous Malibu Beach and the Pacific Ocean. This summer camp combines a beautiful, safe location with a staff consisting of college coaches, college runners and other qualified instructors. This program is open to all female high school students, entering grades 9-12. This camp runs in conjunction with the coed cross country veteran camp Nike Raditude Cross Country Camp in Malibu.
The Nike Malibu Speed and Hurdles Camp is scheduled for two separate weeks during the months of June and July, running from Monday to Friday. This summer’s dates are as follows:
Monday, June 26th to Friday, June 30th
Monday, July 24th to Friday, July 28th
Camp Director Venus Jewett (Coach V) is a NCAA D1 and USATF Elite Level 2 Coach who is in her third year of Coaching at Pepperdine. Coach V’s unique philosophy is incorporated into every part of camp. Campers participate in speed and stamina drills and training as well as informative discussions and readings throughout the camp.
