Smoky Mountain Running Camp 2017 Dates Announced
SMRC returns to UNC Asheville, NC for its 45th annual cross-country camp
San Rafael, CA: US Sports Camps and Nike Running Camps are proud to announce dates for the 45th summer at Smoky Mountain Running Camp! The cross-country running camp program hosted at University of North Carolina, Asheville, is beloved among families and teams, and attracts hundreds of campers year after year. Runners spend their days on beautifully scenic running trails, enjoy one-on-one feedback from coaches, collegiate and professional runners, and participate in fun group activities and lectures. As it has in years past, camp will run for three weeks in 2017, offering middle school and coaches clinic programs alongside the high school runners during week one.
Coaches are encouraged to attend with their teams to gain instructional insights to take home, as well as create a unique experience with their young athletes. Campers and coaches leave with a fresh perspective and new skills to fuel success in their upcoming cross-country season.
The experience campers receive at Smoky Mountain Running Camp is unmatched. Top notch training, professional coaches and a unique Nike Running camp store keep campers coming back every year. “Smoky Mountain Running Camp just has such a positive atmosphere. You can just see on the kids’ faces what an enjoyable experience camp is for them,” states Renee Chapman, Running Sport Manager at US Sports Camps.
