Nike Soccer Camps Announce Collaboration with Middle States Soccer Camps
Nike Soccer Camps are proud to announce the Middle States Soccer Camp at Widener University this summer. Directed by Men’s Head Coach Brent Jacquette, the program offers an outstanding session of soccer training from July 28th through the 31st. With overnight and day camp options, field players and goalkeepers can find the ideal program to fit their individual needs and accelerate their soccer development.
The Pre-Season Training Session is designed to address the technical, tactical and conditioning needs of individual players and teams. Designed for boys and girls, ages 8-18, the program stresses the importance of a solid skill foundation, the training focuses on drills which build players’ confidence and expertise. Execution of skill under match conditions is stressed as well as offensive and defensive tactical play. Such concepts as width, penetration, and depth in attack and pressure, support, and balance in defense are developed within practice sessions and controlled scrimmages. Training is conducted in an isolated soccer environment with few distractions.

Campers train on the field in the Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium. Quick Stadium, which opened in 1994 and seats over 4,000 spectators, also sports a turf field and lights.
