Nike Soccer Camps Announce New 2012 Locations

San Rafael, CA – Mar 1, 2012 Nike Soccer Camps are proud to announce the addition of four new camp locations and the expansion of current camps!  Nike Soccer Camps now offers several new summer soccer camp sessions for both boys and girls.  The 2012 schedule features camps from coast to coast offering both overnight and day camp.

“Each summer we look to expand our NIKE Soccer Camps network across the country and this summer is no exception,” says Danielle Salta, manager of the Nike Soccer Camps.   “Our camps provide the players the opportunity to develop their individual skills in a competitive and healthy environment.”

NIKE Soccer Camps are located at college campuses and preparatory high schools.  Exposure to a campus setting adds a stimulating, cultural dimension to a camper’s experience, and provides a safe and secure camp environment. The 2012 Nike Soccer Camp lineup is headlined by new locations and sessions at:

Francis Parker School Day Camp (Coed) – San Diego, CA – Hosted on the beautiful Francis Parker campus, experienced coach  Javier Gonzalez, will train campers of all ability levels at this fun-filled five day camp.

Otterbein University (Coed) – Westerville, OH – Known as the Great Britain Soccer Camp and run by the Otterbein University Head Men’s Soccer Coach Gerry D’Arcy.  This camp is dedicated to providing a high quality training environment in a fun and challenging atmosphere.

Wittenberg University (Girls) – Springfield, OH – Nike Soccer Camps welcomes back seasoned Nike Camp director Kwame Lloyd.  Coach Lloyd has hosted Nike Camps at Christopher Newport University and the University of Vermont.  Wittenberg offers an advanced academy for girls ages 14-18 which allows campers the opportunity to expand skills and knowledge of the game while being challenged by fellow players and coaches.

Sewanee: University of the South (Girls) – Sewanee, TN – Hosted by Head Women’s Coach Patrick Johnston, this camp is an intense and productive high school girls soccer camp.

Adelphi University is increasing its on campus presence by offering a girls only session with former U.S. national player Chris Armas.   During his illustrious career, he played 66 times for the U.S. National Team and was part of two World Cup teams, won one MLS championship and four U.S. Open Cup championships, participated in seven MLS All-Star games, was selected to five MLS Best 11 Teams and was named the 2000 U.S. Soccer Player of the Year.

Dave Di Tomasso, Nike Camp Director at Elmhurst College offers a unique and competitive high school camp called “The Elite 150 Total Player Development Camp” for the serious high school player bound for college and the pros.  This camp offers top-notch instruction and expo¬sure to college coaches on staff during the week.
