Defiance College To Host NIKE Softball Camp June 26-29

San Rafael, CA - NIKE Softball Camps offers locations nationwide for players ages 6-18 and is pleased to announce its latest addition, Defiance College, to the 2012 NIKE Softball Camp schedule.

“Each summer we look to improve our offerings of NIKE Softball Camp across the country.  This summer is no exception with the addition of Defiance College” says Mike de Surville, Vice President of US Sports Camps.  “Our camp directors are our partners and as such have a major stake in providing camps of the highest quality; camps that are fun and improve the skills of each camper.”

Directing the NIKE Softball Camp at Defiance College is Jodi Holava. After just six seasons as the head coach of the Defiance College softball program, Jodie Holava is nearing the most wins in school history with a 144-108 overall record. Holava’s .571 winning percentage is the best by any coach in program history, and the team has been even more impressive under her guidance against conference opponents, boasting a .667 winning percentage. At camp, Holava covers the mechanics of fielding, hitting, and the mental side to game-time situations.

Nike Softball Camps provide focused, intensive training that is essential to improvement for all skill levels. Every facet of the game is covered with an emphasis on fundamentals to help players become valuable team members. At each location, campers are broken into groups with other players of similar age, abilities and goals. Each camp director does their best to advance players to the next level, keeping in consideration each camper’s experience and desire to improve.
