NIKE Softball Camps Set For Another Summer At Amherst College:  July 15-19

San Rafael, CA - NIKE Softball Camps offers locations nationwide for players ages 6-18 of all abilities and is pleased to announce its return to the Massachusetts location, Amherst College, July 15-19, 2012.

“We are thrilled to have confirmed our 2012 dates at Amherst College,” states Mike de Surville, Vice President of US Sports Camps. “We look forward to the start of this camp and are confident that this location will be the premier softball camp in New England."

Directing the program is Coach Kacey Schmitt who returns for her third year as NIKE Softball Camp director. Kacey has been the varsity softball coach for Amherst Regional High School in Amherst, MA for 14 years. She has been the director of softball and volleyball summer sports camps for the town of Amherst for 21 years, and runs sports clinics for young players with the assistance of her varsity athletes. Many of her former players have gone on to successful college softball careers with programs such as Boston College, East Carolina University, UMass, Western New England College, Skidmore, Lesley College, and others. She will be assisted at camp by some of these college players.

Nike Softball Camps provide focused, intensive training that is essential to improvement for all skill levels. Every facet of the game is covered with an emphasis on fundamentals to help players become valuable team members. At each location, campers are broken into groups with other players of similar age, abilities and goals. Each camp director does their best to advance players to the next level, keeping in consideration each camper’s experience and desire to improve.
