Nike Softball Camps Adds Colorado Camp Location at Metropolitan State University

Softball players in the Colorado area are encouraged to refine their skills at the Metropolitan State University Nike Softball Camp.

San Rafael, CA March 11, 2014 - The 2014 Nike Softball Camp at Metropolitan State University is a premier new location with its state-of-the- art softball complex. Campers have the opportunity to train like a college player on the Roadrunners home turf and improve their game. This Colorado camp runs June 23-27, 2014 and is for softball players ages 8-18, of all abilities.

This Colorado NIKE Softball Camp is directed by head coach Annie Van Wetzinga. Van Wetzinga brings not only experience but the enthusiasm that encourages campers to reach their softball goals and create new ones. She enters her first season as head coach at Metro State in 2013-14. Van Wetzinga has spent the past three seasons at Upper Iowa University after a three-year stint at Colorado School of Mines.

“We are thrilled to be hosting a camp in the state of Colorado.” says Mike de Surville, Vice President of US Sports Camps. “Coach Van Wetzinga has designed a quality camp focusing on skill development. Her goal is for each camper to end camp feeling confident that positive changes to their game were made.”

Camp runs 9am-3pm each day at Auraria Field. Daily emphasis is on fundamental development and team play. Each camper receives a Nike camp T-shirt and prizes.
