St. Catherine’s University Joins The NIKE Softball Camp Lineup

San Rafael, CA - NIKE Softball Camps offers locations nationwide for players ages 6-18 and is pleased to announce its latest clinic June 25-26 at St. Catherine’s University, to the 2012 NIKE Softball Camp schedule.

“Each summer we look to improve our offerings of NIKE Softball Camp across the country.  This summer is no exception with the addition of St. Catherine’s University” says Mike de Surville, Vice President of US Sports Camps.  “Our camp directors are our partners and as such have a major stake in providing camps of the highest quality; camps that are fun and improve the skills of each camper.”

Directing the NIKE Softball Camp at St. Catherine’s University is head coach Madge Makowske. Coach Makowske enters her 17th season as the head coach of the Wildcat Softball program. Under Coach Makowske’s leadership the Wildcats have had back-to-back 20-plus wins in a season, have broken countless school records, and moved up in the MIAC rankings.  At camp, Makowske covers the mechanics of fielding, hitting, and the mental side to game-time situations.

Nike Softball Camps provide focused, intensive training that is essential to improvement for all skill levels. Every facet of the game is covered with an emphasis on fundamentals to help players become valuable team members. At each location, campers are broken into groups with other players of similar age, abilities and goals. Each camp director does their best to advance players to the next level, keeping in consideration each camper’s experience and desire to improve.
