Nike Tennis Camps Congratulates the University of Alabama on the Completion of their New Indoor Tennis Center: The Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility
San Rafael, CA (PR WEB) March 9, 2012 - University of Alabama recently completed construction of the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility, an indoor tennis center located adjacent to the Alabama Tennis Stadium. The new tennis center contains six regulation NCAA hard courts, in addition to a lobby and restroom.
Excitement for the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility began even before the initial ground breaking took place. "With the construction of the new six court indoor facility, we will have a training and competition environment that will be among the very best in the country," said Billy Pate, University of Alabama head men's tennis coach and Director of the University of Alabama Nike Tennis Camp. "It also serves as a great statement on behalf of the University of Alabama in terms of a commitment to excel at the highest level, while providing an ideal atmosphere for our fans to enjoy elite-level tennis."
The new indoor tennis center not only provides an additional facility for the teams to compete during the rainy season, but it will also help The University of Alabama when submitting bids to host tennis events like the NCAA First and Second Rounds. The Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility consists of raised seating that face all courts, a set of offices and a locker-room area underneath, and an elevator from the first level that takes spectators up to the seating area. This new facility is not only beneficial to the highest level of competitive play; it is also a terrific place for hosting school and community tournaments, with amenities for spectators and visiting teams. Nike Tennis Campers will also have access to these state of the art facilities.
