NIKE Softball Camp At Columbus University Will Be Held July 8-12

Come join the fun at camp in Georgia this summer

San Rafael, CA - NIKE Softball Camps offers locations nationwide for players ages 6-18 of all abilities and is pleased to announce its return to the Georgia location, Columbus University, July 8-12, 2012.

“We are thrilled to have confirmed our 2012 dates at Columbus State,” states Mike de Surville, Vice President of US Sports Camps. “We look forward to the start of this camp and are confident that this location will be the premier softball camp in the state of Georgia."

Directing the camp once again is Brad Huskisson. Brad begins his third full year as the head coach of the Lady Cougars Softball team and seventh year overall at Columbus State in the 2011-2012 year. While at Columbus State, Huskisson has been a part of a highly successful run including winning the Peach Belt Conference regular season and conference tournament twice. In 2007, CSU set a school record with 58 wins, finishing third at the NCAA Division II World Series, the highest in school history. His players have garnered numerous individual accolades including the NCAA Division II Catcher of the Year Award, two NFCA All-Americans, two All-Region and 14 All-Peach Belt honorees. He has had five players named to the All-Peach Belt Academic Team.

Nike Softball Camps provide focused, intensive training that is essential to improvement for all skill levels. Every facet of the game is covered with an emphasis on fundamentals to help players become valuable team members. At each location, campers are broken into groups with other players of similar age, abilities and goals. Each camp director does their best to advance players to the next level, keeping in consideration each camper’s experience and desire to improve.
