Conveniently located midway between Boston and New York City, The Loomis Chaffee School is one of the most picturesque independent secondary schools in all of New England. Campers train on campus at the new eight-lane track facility and reside in the school dormitories along with the Loomis Chaffee coaching staff.
The experienced coaching staff lectures on topics including training, drills and technique, plyometrics, motivation and goal setting, nutrition, and much more. Video analysis is used to teach campers about proper form.

The facility is designed for teaching, boasting three shot circles, a discus circle, four separate jumping pits, and separate high jump areas. Just this year, the facility was fitted with lights enabling us to do evening sessions.Meet your coaching staff
In his thirteenth year as the Loomis Chaffee head men's track and field coach, Scott Purdy has lead his team to a 51-14 record over the past seven years, including three straight Founders League Championship.
He has coached five New England champions in the boys' hurdles. As well as coached Loomis Chaffee boys' hurdlers to seven league championship titles, never finishing lower then second place.
Purdy has a Master Degree in English from Middlebury College. He is the former captain of Williams College indoor and outdoor track and field teams (Division III All-New England honors in hurdles).
2013 Camp Information (2014 Info Coming Soon)
Campers can choose from all disciplines, except Pole Vault: throw (shot put,hammer, discus, javelin) sprints, hurdles, middle distance (including steeplechase), and jumps (high jump, long jump, triple jump).
Each camper should wear comfortable work-out clothing for each camp session. Additionally, campers should bring their own event shoes or spikes. Please be sure to properly mark your equipment, so that it can be easily identified.
Middle School Day Camp
(9:00 am — 5:00 pm): In addition to serving high school athletes, the camp has a program available for younger athletes, ages 10-13, that provides an introduce on to all track and field events.

Check-in: Sunday, June 23rd at 1:00 pm. There will be signs on campus to lead campers to the registration hall.
Check-out: Graduation is on Thursday, June 27th 1:00 pm at the Loomis Chaffee Track.
24-hour supervision is an important feature of every NIKE Running Camp. Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.
