NBC Camps will be offering a comprehensive soccer skills day camp at Western Christian High School in Upland, California. This day camp will include leadership training, skill development and staff who invest in your life and game.
NBC Sports Camps are so popular because they are not your typical camp. Outstanding coaches teach skill development in an atmosphere of encourgement, intensity and fun. On top of the fundamental teaching NBC interjects life skills training into all aspects of the camp and seeks to encourage athletes to a life of excellence on and off the field.

Mr. Ramirez has been coaching soccer for more than 30 years either with the boys or the girls during this tenure. He coached Garey High School (his alma mater) to 9 league championships and made the CIF finals once with the boys team. Mr. Ramirez also coached the Claremont High School Girls for three seasons. The team won two league championships and two CIF titles. Coach Ram also coached our Lady Lancers from 1998-2008. The team won eight league titles and a CIF championship in 2006. Currently he is starting in his third season with the boys. He is the Spanish Teacher and the Freshmen advisor for Western. He leaves in Upland and has two daughters, Nathalie and Jessica, two cats and a dog. Mr. Ramirez enjoys reading in his spare time and running or hiking.

Ms. Thurber was born in Long Beach, but grew up in Paso Robles, California. She played soccer there from age five to seventeen, while also running cross country and track. After graduating high school, she attended Azusa Pacific University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Biblical studies.
Not long after graduating in 2005, she was hired by Western Christian High School to teach English. That year she also joined the Lady Lancer soccer team as an assistant coach. While assisting that first year, the team went 23-3 and won CIF. In 2007, she earned her Master’s degree in Education and cleared her credential. In the summer of 2011, she went to Japan with the Southern California Seahorses where she played defense and helped lead soccer camps for kids from preschool to high school.
Camp Check-in begins at 8:30am on the first day of camp.
Parents are encouraged to attend a parent orientation at 9am.
Camp will start at 9:15am the first day.
Every other day camp begins at 9am
Pick-up time is 3pm.

- 9am Welcome and Warm up

- 12:30pm Afternoon Life Skills Session (summer theme, discussion groups)
