At NIKE Soccer Camps, our goal is to stimulate a love for the game in young athletes by showing them how to accelerate their own progress and success.

This camp presents an incredible opportunity for high school players to get a taste of playing for Berry College.  The camp curriculum will consist of a blend of team and individual training, position specific tehnical and tactical training as well as small sided and full field games.

Berry College has the world’s largest contiguous college campus, spanning more than 26,000 acres of woodlands, meadows and streams. Founded in 1902, Berry is a private coeducational institution located in Rome, GA, about an hour north of Atlanta. Berry boasts some of the finest athletic facilities including a state of the art 131,000 square-foot athletic and recreation center, three full size game soccer fields which are professionally manicured and provide a wonderful playing surface that players and coaches love

Camp Director

Eric Gentilello

Eric Gentilello is in his 14th season as a full time assistant coach for the Berry College women's soccer program. Gentilello holds a USSF "B" license and is involved in all phases of the Berry women's program, including the training process, recruiting, and game coaching. During his time at Berry, the lady Vikings have had a 163-73-22 record.

He played soccer at Berry from 1997-1999, capping off his junior and senior seasons by earning a place on the All-TranSouth Athletic Conference team. He was the Berry captain in 1999, playing as a graduate student. In 1998, Gentilello earned his bachelor of science degree in health and physical education, and he earned his master's degree in secondary education in 2001. Prior to playing for the Vikings, Gentilello played club soccer for United Quest in Marietta, Georgia, winning the state championship in 1993 and 1994. He also represented Georgia in the Southeast regional tournament in those same years.

Gentilello is also the goalkeeper trainer for Berry. Under his training, he helped keepers Nicole Heidler (2004-05) and Vanessa Zimmerman (2005-08) earn All-American honors. College coaches from top programs along with former Berry soccer players will also be highlighted as part of the camp staff.

Berry College Soccer Camp is directed and staffed by both the Berry Coaches and its current players. College coaches from the area along with former Berry soccer players will also be highlighted as part of the camp staff.  The camp is geared towards players that want to push themselves for success at the high school or club level and those that are looking at playing at the collegiate level. The Camp involves intense morning training, afternoon sessions that focus on tactics and small sided play, and full sided evening competition.

What's included in the fee?
Overnight Campers: Professional coaching and instruction, all meals, housing, supervision and evening activities.
Extended Day Campers (varies with location) 9am-9pm: Professional coaching and instruction, lunch, dinner and evening activities.

Soccer balls may be purchased when you register for camp for an additional $15. Campers are not required to bring a ball to camp and purchasing one is optional.

  • 7:15am Wake-up

  • 2:30pm Technical/Tactical Training and Small Sided Competition

Team Discount: If five or more campers register together, as a group by mail or fax, each camper will receive a $25 discount. Click “Get Brochure” above and print the application. All applications must be received at the same time via mail or fax. If all members of your group pay with a Visa or MasterCard, feel free to fax your applications to 415-479-6061 to expedite processing. Late or individual registrations are not eligible to receive the group discount.

24-hour supervision is an important feature of every NIKE Soccer Camp. Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.

Players Grouped by: skill, age, years of experience
Evaluation: Written by coaching staff
Equipment Needed: Soccer cleats, shin guards, goalies must bring own equipment.
Facility: Campers train on grass and turf fields.

Roommates: If you have a roommate request, and have not already given it to us, please do so no later than 14 days before the start of camp. We will do our best to grant roommate requests. Due to the large number of single rooms, not all requests will be able to be granted.

Key Deposit: $25 for room key and $25 for dorm entrance key – Bring a check made out to US Sports
Spending Money: $20-$30, please DO NOT  bring a pre-written check
Medical Facility: an athletic trainer and off campus hospital
