The 2009 season was the most successful season the team has had under Acquista. The Panthers captured the regular season and tournament ASC titles, posting a 13-2-4 overall record. Adelphi also completed its second consecutive season without losing a game on Competition Field (7-0-2). Acquista captured his second straight ASC Coach of the Year award, while landing nine players on All-Conference and All-Academic teams, and four on All-Region teams. Freshman Issa Tall was the unanimous pick for ASC Player of the Year, as well as earning College Soccer News All-Freshman honors, being named to the 2009 Soccer All-America first-team, All-Region first-team, and was nominated for Soccer News Net Player of the Year.

Acquista comes to Adelphi with experience as an assistant coach at Hofstra University and his alma mater, St. John's University. Acquista holds a USSF "A" license and won a national championship with St. John's.

Enhance skills

The Nike Soccer Camp raised the level of play for my son. He was able to enhance his skill level through the expert training that was provided. He also met some really great kids from all over. He was very comfortable at the camp and enjoyed it.

Improve skills

I would recommend the camp for people who are looking to actually improve their skills and have a hope to one day play pro. So if your looking to "have fun" go play in the park with your friends. If you want to work hard and improve yourself believe me these 3 days are most definitely worth it!
