This camp is designed to work on and improve each player’s all around skills through drills, skill specific games, small sided games, and full field scrimmages.
At the Charlotte Latin School we cover the basics of dribbling, passing, heading, trapping, and shooting. We teach campers about team shape, offensive strategies, individual and team defense. Soccer is a great game that often teaches itself by playing!! This is a fun camp where many different games will be played that allow you to work on your skills and strategies.

The Charlotte Latin School, a college preparatory day school, encompasses 122 acres in southeast Charlotte. Campers train daily on the home soccer field. Interscholastic athletics has a long and rich tradition at Charlotte Latin School. Throughout its 41-year history, our students have proven they can compete on the playing field, as well as in the classroom. Along with the many conference and state titles earned over the years, the School has always placed a premium on the values instilled and the lessons learned from athletic competition.Meet your coaching staff
Coach Horton is a member of the North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame and of the United Soccer Leagues Women’s W-League Hall of Fame. He has over 900 High School Soccer wins, 15 State Championships, over 100 W-League wins, and 1 National Championship.
The camp is staffed by Charlotte Latin High School Players and Charlotte Lady Eagles Players.
2014 Camp Information
Check-in: Monday at 7:45am at the soccer fields. First field session begins immediately following check‐in. Campers attending daily should arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. each day.
Check-out: Friday at 2:00pm. Final games will be played and parents are welcome to attend.
*Lunch is NOT provided. Campers must bring a sack lunch each day.
Players Grouped by: skill, age, years of experience
Evaluation: Written by coaching staff
Equipment Needed: Soccer cleats, shin guards, goalies must bring own equipment.
Facility: Campers train on grass and turf fields.
