Camp Director
Julian Marino
Julian Marino epitomizes the total professional when it comes to soccer; nevertheless, his professionalism is merely a byproduct of his passion. Marino’s extensive playing career has fuelled his love for the game, and his success at the highest levels has poured over into a desire to see youth achieve the same heights.
Julian spent his youth in Argentina before settling in the United States in 2003. While in Argentina, Marino built a respectable resume having starred professionally for Brown de Adrogue (Argentina 2nd Division) and Club Defensor Sporting (Uruguay).
Nowadays, he is putting his USSF ‘B’ license to good use while leading Sports Culture’s Representative Teams and Soccer School. Among Julian’s finest coaching accomplishments include guiding teams to Region III President’s Cup championships and state finalist recognition in the Director’s Cup.
Marino’s words: “My desire is to be to children what my coaches were to me. I want to be a teacher, a mentor and a friend. I’m demanding of my players because I’m driven to see them improve week to week and season to season. It is not enough to be a good soccer coach, but I also must be a reliable mentor to provide youth with a positive environment and the encouragement to achieve their life goals. Soccer is my passion, and I want to instill that same drive in my players.”
