Gettysburg College is located 3 blocks from the center of Gettysburg, a town whose history attracts millions of visitors annually. The campus, which includes a former Civil War hospital and the office where President Dwight D. Eisenhower wrote his memoirs, sits next to the Gettysburg National Military Park, which offers many historical and recreational opportunities.
Campers will enjoy playing on the beautifully manicured home field of the Bullets, Bobby Jones Field. Dedicated in 2004, Bobby Jones Field is home to the Gettysburg softball team. The field features brand new dugouts, an outfield fence 215 feet from home plate, state-of-the-art scoreboard and quality bullpens. The facility was named in honor of Robert '65 and Sharon Jones.
Camp Director
Sam Abrams
Abrams has found success in her opening four campaigns with the Orange and Blue, guiding the team to an 80-61-2 overall record. Gettysburg has qualified for the postseason twice during Abrams’ tenure and has compiled a mark of 31-16-1 against conference foes.
After posting a 13-18 mark in her first season at the helm, the Bullets made a significant leap by going 27-10-1 in 2009, marking the second-most victories in school history. In 2010, the squad went 21-16-1 and finished second in the Centennial Conference regular-season standings. The 2011 Bullets shattered the school record for home runs by knocking out 21 en route to a 19-17 overall record.

Read camper reviewsHonest assessmentof my skills
"I've been playing competitive travel softball for five years now yet I felt the coaches at this camp helped me improve my game in many ways. They showed me where I needed improvement and were very honest in their assessments of my skills. They recommended coaches to help me continue to improve after the camp - and I really appreciate that."
Thanks for another great experience!
"The director and her staff were very positive and seemed to make all the girls love to play. This is my second time doing the camp and I would do it again. Thanks for another great experience and great memories."

Taught My Daughter More Softball & Being A Young Lady
"I cannot put into words the experience my daughter gained from going to the camp. She not only learned skills in softball but how to be a better young lady. The morals and values the staff brought to the camp were extraordinary. We looked at sending her to another camp and decided on the NIKE Camp for convenience and I am so glad we did. She was going to be a day camper but when we got there she saw some friends and we were able to change her to be an overnight camper. I will highly recommend this camp to anyone who is interested in gaining skills and personal growth. We look forward to next year!!"
