The College is located on nearly 80 acres of tree-lined grounds in a historic district bordering the heart of the city of Greensboro. The convenient location provides easy access to major attractions, the cultural arts district, shopping and fine arts venues.
Camp Director
Whitney Gelin
Gelin enters her fourth year at the helm of The Pride softball program in 2012-13. She ranks second on the school's all-time win list with a count of 92. Her career record stands at 71-51-1 with a record of 46-25 against conference opponents.
In her third year at the helm of the program, The Pride put together a 21-19 record. In 2011, Gelin led Greensboro to the semifinals of the USA South Athletic Conference tournament.
Gelin had a remarkable debut season for the Pride in 2010. Greensboro College went 28-15-1, won its first USA South championship, and advanced to its first NCAA tournament. The Pride had a program record 17-game winning streak during the year.

Prior to taking over the head coaching role, Gelin spent the previous two years as a GC assistant softball coach under Kama Tucker.
While at GC, Gelin also serves as the primary Strength and Conditioning coach for Pride athletics, and was promoted to Senior Woman Administrator in 2011.
A 2007 graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Gelin played softball for the Tar Heels. She was an academic team captain, and a four-year letter-winner. Gelin was awarded the Papa Coach’s Award in 2007 and the Carroll Hustle Award in 2005.
Gelin was a double major in Exercise and Sport Science, and Psychology, and has extensive strength training and physiology knowledge. She is a three-time winner of UNC’s Iron Ram award presented to the top five Carolina female athletes.
A native of Inverness, FL., Gelin was a standout high school athlete at Citrus High School. She was a Second Team All-State selection in softball and and two-time state weightlifting champion. In January of 2010, Gelin was named her County's Athlete of the Decade by the Citrus County Chronicle.
In December, 2009 she made the United States pre-Olympic handball team and competed overseas in an international tournament. She had only been playing team handball for six months.
