Nike Softball Camps totally immerse you in the sport, giving you the kind of focused, intensive training essential for improvement - no matter what your ability level. Every facet of the game is covered - hitting, fielding, base running, team play and more. Our goals is that your performance as an overall player will improve, along with your self-confidence but it is up to each player to take what they have learned and apply it to gametime situations.

Located atop one of the rolling hills in central New York's 'City of Seven Valleys,' the State University of New York College at Cortland is once again hosting the NIKE Softball Camps! SUNY Cortland, an outstanding location for campers to train, is located in the central part of the state. The campus covers 191 acres of beautiful landscape and is located in the finger lakes region, just 35 miles south of Syracuse.

Camp Director

Julie Lenhart

 Lenhart began coaching at Cortland in 1995 and in 17 years has a combined record of 561-213-2, making her the winningest coach in Red Dragon softball history. In 2007, she became the 16th softball coach in Division 3 history to surpass 500 career wins and her overall record stands at 681-290-2 in 22 campaigns. Her teams have qualified for the NCAA Division III playoffs five straight years from 2007-2011, including World Series appearances in 1998, 2004, 2008, 2009, and 2011.

US Sports Camps combines with Nike and USA/ASA Softball to offer the Nike Softball Camps sponsored by USA Softball.

USA Softball is the brand created, operated and owned by the ASA that links the USA Men's, Women's, Junior Boys' and Junior Girls' National Team programs together. USA Softball is responsible for training, equipping and promoting these four National Teams to compete in international and domestic competitions.

Whichever program you do decide on, each Nike Softball Camp staff member is ready to work with you and provide the best possible softball experience while you train and strive to be a better softball player.

Sample Daily Schedule

  • 7:00 a.m. Wake Up/Shower
  • 7:30 a.m. Breakfast (Overnight Campers)
  • 8:45 a.m. Extended Day Campers Arrive, Position Play, Pitching/Catching Fundamentals
  • 11:00 a.m. Rest/Free Time
  • 12:00 p.m. Lunch
  • 1:00 p.m. Chalk Talks, Team Offense and Defense Situation Drills
  • 5:00 p.m. Dinner
  • 6:00 p.m. Rest/Free Time
  • 7:00 p.m. Games/Gym/Evening Activities
  • 9:00 p.m. Extended Day Campers Depart
  • 10:00 p.m. Campers to Rooms/Lights Out

Check In:  Sunday - 2:00-4:00 p.m. – All campers

Check in takes place at Hayes Hall.

(Extended Day Campers will depart that evening at 9 p.m.)

Check Out: Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the softball field on the last day of camp. Departure is by noon.
