Dick Gould's Stanford Adult Tennis School, open to 3.0 players (beginner/Intermediate ability levels), is celebrating it's 44th year this summer! Coaching legend and Director of Tennis at Stanford, Dick Gould, along with his wife, Anne, founded and direct this renowned adult tennis camp.
Stanford University is known as the “Home of Champions.” Its' men's and women's teams have recorded 34 national team titles in the last 39 years! Host of men's and women's NCAA Championships in 2006 and 2011, the Stanford campus, located 30 minutes south of San Francisco, features The Taube Tennis Stadium, one of the finest tennis facilities in the country.
Each session includes progressive tennis instruction in:
1. Serve, return, serve and volley
2. Ball machine and feeding drills (groundstrokes and netplay)
3. Doubles play and strategy
With a camper to staff ratio of 4:1 you are sure to hit a ton of balls!

Dick Gould
- The John L. Hinds Director of Tennis - 8 years (2005-present)
- Stanford men's tennis head coach - 38 years (1966-2004)
- Winningest coach in Stanford men's tennis history (776-148 for a winning percentage of .840)
- 17 NCAA Team Championships (89-10 in NCAA Tournament competition since format change In 1977) (Stanford reached 17 of these NCAA team finals and won 15)
Gould and his wife, Anne, the former Stanford University women's tennis coach from 1976-79 who led the Cardinal to its first women's national team championship in 1978.

Clinic for Beginner & Intermediate Players (3.0 & below)
2013 Dates: June 15-16 (Saturday and Sunday)
Times: 9:00am-12:00pm and 2:00pm-5:00pm
Registration
Arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the first camp session. Meet at The Taube Family Tennis Stadium (track side). Remember to bring a tennis racquet and your completed health and release forms. Campers cannot be admitted without these forms. (There are three forms in total.)
Please note: This is a Day Camp only and runs during the hours listed above. The camp tuition DOES NOT include housing. Campers are required to provide their own overnight accommodations.
Details:
• 4 players per court
• Lunch is not provided. Campers may want to bring their own lunches rather than leave the premises.
• Check in 15 minutes prior to the first session.
Parking
The best place to park is in the Track House lot, although parking is free and no permits are required in any lot on the weekend.
Registration Packet
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. Our health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.

Family Experience
My whole family took part in the tennis camp. It was especially rewarding for my daughter who is a special needs athlete. In fact, the next weekend, she won the gold medal at The Special Olympics competition in Davis last weekend.
