Nike Adult Tennis Camps welcomes a new adult camp at Butler University this summer. This adult tennis clinic is co-directed by Tayo Bailey and Parker Ross, head tennis coaches at Butler University. This weekend clinic is geared towards adult tennis players, ages 18 and up.
At the Nike Adult Tennis Camp at Butler University, our goal is to give adult players the opportunity to hit thousands of balls, improve their technique, and have a good time. Our camp combines technical tennis instruction and drilling from a superb coaching staff, plenty of supervised match play. Come on your own or bring a friend!

Campers will utilize the Butler University outdoor tennis courts as well as the indoor Butler Tennis Bubblewhere the Butler men's and women's tennis teams play throughout their regular season. Located near Varsity Field and the Butler Softball Field, the outdoor complex boasts 6 courts. The Butler Bubble provides 4 hard courts for indoor play in harsh weather conditions.Meet your coaching staff
Tayo Bailey, a former all-conference player for the Bulldogs, was hired as head women's tennis coach at Butler University in June 2012. Bailey returned to her alma mater after professional coaching stints in Chicago and Miami.Read Full Bio
Bailey, a 2006 Butler graduate, was a three-time first team All-Horizon League standout for BU. She is one of 25 players in that conference's history to earn first team honors at least three times. Additionally, she helped Butler to three appearances in the conference tournament final.
The inner-city Chicago, Ill., native replaced former long-time coach Jason Suscha, who coached the women's program for 13 seasons.
Bailey sported a 74-46 singles record at Butler, including a 25-10 mark as a junior in 2005. She had a winning record in each of her four seasons as a college tennis player.
After her playing career, Bailey stayed around the program as Suscha's women's assistant coach for two seasons. Butler advanced to the Horizon League championship match in both seasons she was on staff. She then spent time as a tennis professional and fitness trainer at various spots in Miami and Chicago before spending the last two years as a pro at the Goldfine-Smatt International Tennis Academy in Hallandale Beach, Fla.
Bailey earned her degree in biology in 2006. She also earned a master's degree from Nova Southeastern.
Parker Ross, a former tennis standout for the Bulldogs, was hired as men’s tennis coach at Butler University in 2012. Prior to taking over the program, Ross spent two seasons as men’s assistant coach under long-time head coach Jason Suscha.Read Full Bio
Ross, a native of Libertyville, Ill., began his college tennis career at the University of Iowa before transferring to Butler in 2004. He was twice named second team All-Horizon League as a player and was a co-captain on two Butler teams that won league championships and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. In his two seasons at Butler, Ross posted a 36-29 singles record and a 39-27 doubles record.
Ross takes over the men’s tennis program at Butler after stints as a coach at Five Seasons Tennis Club and the Lawrence Township Tennis Association in Indianapolis. While at Five Seasons, he managed and organized junior tennis player programs and he mentored high school players in the USTA Junior circuit. At Lawrence Township, he coached children and introduced the sport to beginning players.
Ross earned his degree from Butler in media arts in 2006. He is married to the former Sarah Myer and lives in Indianapolis.

Please note: This is a Day Camp only and runs during the hours listed above. The camp tuition DOES NOT include housing. Campers are required to provide their own overnight accommodations.
Campers will utilize the 6 outdoor courts as well as the 4 hard courts in the indoor Butler Tennis Bubble.
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. Our health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.
