Camp Director Alejandro Justiniani

Alex has over 30,000 hours of teaching experience and is a 5.0 rated player who brings 18 years of teaching experience to the resort program, including 12 at Sea Colony.

Alex is a USPTA Elite professional and a PTR certified professional who has achieved certifications in all four PTR pathways: Adult Development, Junior Development (10 & Under and 11-17) and Performance. He also holds specialized certifications in Cardio Tennis and Wheelchair Tennis. In 2021 he was named USTA's DD and Middle States teaching professional of the year and he was also named Delaware’s 2012 & 2021 PTR Pro of The Year. He was also Tennis Industry Magazine's 2013 Top 30 Under 30 professionals in the country.

Alex specializes in high performance training for all ages. During his time at Sea Colony, he has trained and helped hundreds of collegiate athletes achieve their goals. He uses the newest innovative methods and technology available in the industry.

Before rejoining Sea Colony, Alex was the Director of Tennis of Cattail Creek Country Club in Howard County, MD. As a player, he competed in ITF and Futures Circuit in the United States, Mexico and Europe. As a junior, Justiniani trained at the world renowned Van Der Meer Tennis Academy in Hilton Head Island, SC.
Co-Director Gene Cutter, PTR

Gene is a certified PTR professional and has been in the industry for over 23 years. He has worked with clients of all ages and levels and loves being on the court and watching his students grow not only in skill but in positivity as well. As a former Saddlebrook Senior Coach, Gene specialized in the high performance training of the Academy Kids who sought to turn professionals. He also was a hitting partner for visiting touring professionals like Martina Hingis, Jennifer Capriatti, Justine Henin to name a few. He was a regular hitting partner and coach for Marlene Weingartner in 2004. He worked with her before the 2004 French Open and she had her best run making it to the fourth round.

Gene also was a head coach for the Jack Schore Academy program where he ran the fitness training as well as coaching and hitting with their national juniors. Gene also had his own high performance academy in both Allegany/ Garrett County and Frederick County where he had numerous juniors play all levels of college tennis from D1- D3. Gene's specialty is High Performance training, and uses his BioMechanical knowledge of the anatomy of a tennis player to help diagnose and correct issues that may be hindering a players best performance on the tennis court. Gene was a competitive player and has been rated 5.0/5.5. He enjoys helping all ages of players, become better and have fun along the way. Gene brings a positive energy to everything he does and focuses on making sure each student understands that anything is achievable with effort and positivity.

CAMP SCHEDULE

We offer 8-hour adult tennis clinics that run Friday (1:00pm-4:00pm), Saturday (1:00pm-4:00pm) and Sunday 12:00pm-2:00pm) for intermediate to advanced players ages 18+.

Check-in: 1:00pm Friday
Check-out: 12:00pm Sunday
Daily Schedule: Friday 1:00pm-4:00pm, Saturday 1:00pm-4:00pm, Sunday 12:00pm-2:00pm

- Spring Adult Camp (March 29-31)

Daily Schedule: Friday 1:00pm-4:00pm, Saturday 1:00pm-4:00pm, Sunday 8:00am-10:00am

Please note: This is a Day Camp only and runs during the hours listed above. The camp tuition DOES NOT include housing. Campers are required to provide their own overnight accommodations.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

Ratio: 4:1 camper-to-coach ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
Equipment Needed: All campers must bring a tennis racquet, tennis shoes, and a water bottle
Facility: Sea Colony Beach Resort was named the 2012 USTA Facility of the Year. Click here to read more. With 34 tennis courts, including indoor, outdoor, Har-Tru clay, and hard courts, the tennis facilities are a haven for tennis enthusiasts throughout the region.
Inclement Weather Plan: Indoor courts are available for use as needed
Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

June 14, 2023: The camp was awesome. Facilities were perfect, and the instruction was solid and very well organized. But what stood out most was the energy of the instructors--particularly with Ethan. He and his team knew all of our names, used them often, were very proactive in observing our play (even from across the court) and shouting encouragement and correction. He is remarkable!
