The University of Kansas Nike Tennis camp combines technical tennis instruction and drilling from a top notch coaching staff, supervised match play, and a variety of evening social activities. Come join the fun and take your tennis game to the next level at summer camp!
The University of Kansas Nike Tennis Camp is a camp for young athletes to come and vastly improve their tennis game, work hard, make new friends and have a lot of fun. The youth tennis camp focuses on instruction as well as match play, giving each camper a positive learning environment to enhance their skills and enjoy the game.

The University of Kansas campus consists of 950 acres atop historic Mount Oread in Lawrence, Kansas. Lawrence lies 40 miles west of Kansas City, bordered on the north and south by the Kansas (Kaw) and Wakarusa rivers.
Campers will play tennis at the 12 court Varsity complex with indoor courts available.

Camp Director
Amy Hall-Holt
Amy Hall-Holt, head women's coach at the University of Kansas will direct the Nike Tennis Camp this summer. She is in her seventh year at the helm of the Jayhawks tennis team and her twelfth year overall at KU.
Read Full BioUnder Hall-Holt's guidance, KU has garnered numerous accomplishments, both on and off the courts. During her tenure, Hall-Holt has seen her players receive All-Big 12 recognition six times. Hall-Holt's players also excel in the classroom. In 2005, the tennis squad set an all-time Kansas Athletics record by posting a 3.49 GPA. Under Hall-Holt's leadership, KU has placed 13 athletes on the Academic All-Big 12 team.
In 2007, Kansas was ranked as high as 55th in the ITA national poll, and numerous individuals have been ranked throughout Hall-Holt's time at KU as well. Hall-Holt also continues to land top-flight recruiting classes at KU. This season, the Jayhawks welcome four freshmen and highly-touted transfer Monica Pezzotti to a core that includes KU's Nos. 1-3 singles players and last year's top doubles team in Ekaterina Morozova and Erin Wilbert, who recently became KU's first ITA All-American Championship qualifiers since 2007.
Prior to joining the Jayhawk staff, Hall-Holt spent two seasons at Eastern Kentucky as an assistant for both the men's and women's programs. At EKU, she was responsible for on-court coaching, organizing travel, scheduling arrangements and coordinating recruiting efforts for the Colonels' tennis teams. She also controlled the off-season conditioning programs.
Before taking on coaching duties at Eastern Kentucky, Hall-Holt worked as a student assistant to the athletics director. She graduated from Murray State in 1995 with a degree in health education and physical education. A member of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and the United States Tennis Association, Hall-Holt earned a master's degree in physical education with an emphasis in sports administration from Eastern Kentucky in 1996.
On July 10, 2004, Hall-Holt was married in Kentucky to her husband, Rance Holt, who works as the offensive coordinator at Haskell University in Lawrence. Hall-Holt gave birth to a son, Layton, in July 2008.
Program
This year we are offering two weeks of overnight and day camp (9:00am-5:00pm) for kids ages 9-18 of all abilities. Lunch is included for Day Campers. The camp focuses on instruction as well as match play, giving each camper a positive learning environment to enhance their skills and enjoy the game.

JUNE 24-28 SESSION INFORMATION
• Check-in: Sunday from 4:00pm-5:00pm at Naismith Hall.
• Campers should come dressed to play as we will head straight to the courts after check-in.
• Day Campers will depart on Sunday afternoon at 8:00pm from Jayhawk Tennis Center.
• Graduation: 11:00am on Thursday at the Jayhawk Tennis Center. Parents are invited to attend!
• Check-out: Immediately following the graduation ceremony at Jayhawk Courts for day campers and at Naishmith Hall for Overnight campers.
Weekly Schedule & Information
• Sunday: Camp runs from 4:00pm-8:00pm
• Monday-Wednesday: Camp runs 8:45am to 5:15pm
• Thursday: Camp ends at 11:00 for all campers.
• Meals: Lunch is provided for all Day campers.
JUNE 29-JULY 3 SESSION INFORMATION
• Check-in: Friday from 12:00-1:00pm at Naismith Hall.
• Campers should come dressed to play as we will head straight to the courts after check-in.
• Day Campers will depart on Friday afternoon at 5:15pm from Jayhawk Tennis Center.
• Graduation: 11:00am on Tuesday at the Jayhawk Tennis Center. Parents are invited to attend!
• Check-out: Immediately following the graduation ceremony at Jayhawk Courts for day campers and at Naishmith Hall for Overnight campers.
Weekly Schedule & Information
• Friday: Camp runs from 2:00pm-5:15pm
• Saturday-Monday: Camp runs 8:45am to 5:15pm
• Tuesday: Camp ends at 11:00 for all campers.
• Meals: Lunch is provided for all Day campers.
Dorms
Campers will stay in the dorms on campus. Campers stay 2 per room and are assigned by age and roommate requests. No triples are available. There is A/C in the dorms.
Evening Activities
Supervised evening activities may include Movie Night, Scavenger Hunt, Camp Dance
Weekend Stayovers: Weekend Stayovers are not available at this location.

Travel
Nike Tennis Camp does not provide any transportation to/from camp from airport, train stations or bus depots. If you fly into camp, we recommend that you fly into Kansas City Airport and schedule a shuttle/bus from the airport to camp.
Registration Packet
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. Our health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.
