Join the fun and get better at the Wintergreen Resort Nike Tennis Camp this summer! For the seventh consecutive year, Tennis Resorts Online has ranked Wintergreen as one of the top 10 tennis academies and one of the top 15 tennis resorts in the world. The Wintergreen Resort Nike Tennis camp provides a fun, intensive 6 hours of group tennis instruction, lectures, exhibitions and match play per day. Campers are divided into small groups according to age and ability to provide the best possible tennis instruction and experience. The summer camp offers both an overnight, extended day, and day option. The nationally renowned USPTA Certified Wintergreen Teaching Staff will conduct all sessions at camp. Meet your coaching staffJonathan Sarosiek
Jonathan Sarosiek, director of tennis, has been a full-time member of the Wintergreen tennis staff for the past seven years, overseeing a facility singled out as one of the nation’s top 50 tennis resorts in the country by both Tennis magazine and Tennis Resorts Online.

During his tenure at Wintergreen, Sarosiek has served as assistant director of tennis, director of the Wintergreen Tennis Academy and head professional at the resort’s Stoney Creek facility. He has been an integral leader of the teaching staff that has been ranked as high as second in the nation.
“I am fortunate to be surrounded by a wonderful staff at Wintergreen Resort, and it is the entire team here that makes this an award winning facility,” Sarosiek said. “We take great pride in providing a first-class level of service for our guests, and continue to aspire to reach new heights in securing our reputation as one of the country’s top tennis resorts.”

David Hardy
Dave Hardy has been playing tennis since the age of 7 years old. He started playing USTA tournaments as a junior and played four years of Varsity tennis at Unionville High School in Pennsylvania. David also was a starting member of the 2007 Methodist University tennis team that made it to the NCAA championships. Dave has been teaching tennis for 11 years now and truly loves the game of tennis.

This year we are offering three weeks of Day (9:00am-4:00pm) camp for kids ages 7-18 of all skill levels from June 16-20, July 7-11 & August 4-8. We are also offering two weeks of Overnight (ages 9+ only), Extended Day (9:00am-9:00pm) and Day (9:00am-4:00pm) camp from June 23-27 and August 11-15.
In addition to the general camp program, this year we are also offering a tournament training program during the June 23-27 and August 11-15 weeks of camp. The tournament training program is geared towards tournament level and ranked players looking to improve their tournament results, learn winning strategies, and work on mental toughness. Make sure to note that you would like to participate in these programs when you register.
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.
Dartfish video analysis will be used during the camp to analyze and improve your strokes and is provided at no extra charge for all campers. See your strokes compared to a top playing professional! Your Dartfish Mediabook will be posted to a private player locker on Dartfish.tv and reviewed with you by the staff at camp (click here for an example). The package includes:
- Stroke Analysis: Your Dartfish Mediabook contains videos of your strokes, plus side-by-side comparison with a pro, along with comments.
- Pro Stroke Library: Three months of access to Pro Stroke Library, featuring hundreds of strokes in both real and high speed.
- Camp highlights video*: This video of camp activities and friends all set to music will be something everyone will want to have and keep forever. (*Only offered at participating locations.)

• Sunday: All Campers check-in at-2:00pm at the viewing deck/Tennis Center.
• Monday through Wednesday:

• Thursday: All Campers check-out after the 12:00pm graduation at the viewing deck/Tennis Center.
• Meals: Lunch is provided for all campers.
JUNE 23-27 and AUGUST 11-15 SESSIONS INFORMATION (OVERNIGHT, EXTENDED DAY & DAY CAMP)
• Sunday: All Campers check-in at 2:00pm at the viewing deck/Tennis Center.

Dorms (June 23-27 & Aug 11-15 sessions)
Overnight campers must be 9+ years old. Campers stay 2 per room and are assigned by age and roommate requests. Some triples are available, but not guaranteed. There are no single rooms. There is A/C in the dorms (TBD for 2013).
Evening Activities (June 23-27 & Aug 11-15 sessions)
Evening camp activities for overnight and extended day campers may include “Evening at The Dome” which includes mini golf, climbing wall and other activities, and a movie night, awards dinner and much more.
Weekend Stayovers: Weekend stayovers are not available at this location

Travel
Nike Tennis Camp does not provide any transportation to/from camp from airport, train stations or bus depots. If you fly into camp, we recommend that you fly into the Charlottesville Airport and schedule a shuttle/bus from the airport to camp.
Registration Packet
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. Our health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.

I thought this camp was really good. The food was good and I liked all the activities we did. I got a lot better at tennis, but I wish camp could be longer!
