Rollins College - Orlando, Florida
Founded in 1885, Rollins College is the oldest institution of higher learning in Florida. Rollins is set on a picturesque 67-acre campus on the shores of Lake Virginia. The facilities are outstanding and include 13 tennis courts, playing fields, swimming pool, gymnasium and recreation center. The dorm rooms and dining hall are comfortably air-conditioned.
Andy and Rita Gladstone return for their sixth year as directors of the Nike Tennis Camp at Rollins College. Andy has served as the assistant men's coach at Rollins College and is a USPTA/USPTR professional. He currently serves as the Director of Competitive Tennis for USA Tennis Florida. Rita is a former #1 player at the University of South Carolina and competed professionally on the WTA Tour. She is also a certified USPTA certified professional and currently directs and promotes junior tennis programs in the Greater Volusia County (FL) area. Together they have over twenty five years experience teaching at tennis camps.
Camp evening activities include optional trips to either Disney World or Universal Studios, a talent show, beach night, pizza/movie night, and a camp dance.
University Of Miami - Miami, Florida
The University of Miami is located on 260 acres in the suburban city of Coral Gables, also known as "The City Beautiful," just south of Miami.
University of Miami has a reputable athletic program, as teams have enjoyed unprecedented success on the fields and courts, winning more than 20 national championships. Campers will practice and play at the university's Neil Schiff Tennis Center which consists of 14 lighted tennis courts. The university also offers indoor and outdoor facilities for basketball, swimming, and fitness. Camp activities include a beach day, gameworks night, and a camp dance.
Paige Yaroshuk is in her seventh season with the University of Miami women's tennis program and her second season as women's head coach. Yaroshuk has coached some of the top juniors in the U.S. through the USTA Player Development Headquarters. She is a graduate of UCLA where she was an All-American in both singles and doubles.
