University Of Minnesota - Minneapolis , Minnesota
The University of Minnesota's, Twin Cities campus is a prime location for a Nike Tennis Camp. Its brand new Baseline Tennis Center consists of 18 tennis courts, ten indoor and eight outdoor, with plenty of spectator seating. The Baseline Tennis Center is home to the Big Ten Conference's Minnesota Gopher tennis teams.
Director Tyler Thomson, women's head tennis coach is in his fifth year at Minnesota. In 2003, he was named "Big Ten Co- Coach of the Year," while leading his team to the Big Ten Championship. At the NCAA Tournament, Thomson's team was seeded in the top 25. Thomson assisted in three NCAA Team Tournament berths in 1998, 1999 and 2000, including a quarterfinal finish in 1998 at William and Mary. He coached three All-Americans, six ITA Scholar-Athlete All-Americans and 10 ITA nationally ranked players. Among individual honors, Thomson received the ITA "East Region's Assistant Coach of the Year" award in 1999.
