Denison University - Granville , Ohio
Denison University is located in the charming community of Granville, Ohio. The small-town feel of the village and campus creates a comfortable, friendly environment for campers. The camp will take place on Denison University's varsity tennis courts, which feature 12 outdoor courts, six of which have full lighting. Indoor facilities are available in cases of inclement weather.
Director Peter Burling and his experienced staff, teach a complete game program, designed to give each camper the opportunity to learn and master the skills needed to reach the next level of the game. Coaches are dedicated to introducing tennis to young players "the right way," and to helping more advanced players take the next step in their development.
Denison University head men's and women's coach Peter Burling will direct the camp. Coach Burling's teams have earned eight straight NCAA Team Championship appearances, and he has been named "North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year" seven times in ten years. He has 30 years of professional teaching experience, and is an experienced camp director.
Miami University Of Ohio - Oxford , Ohio
The All-American campus of Miami University provides a truly great setting for this Nike Tennis Camp. The University's outstanding facilities include 24 courts, a world-class recreation center, air-conditioned dorms, and award winning food service. Directors Ray Reppert and Steve Contardi will make this a unique tennis experience you won't want to miss. Off court activities include movie night, miniature golf, and swimming.
Ray Reppert and Steve Contardi will co-direct the camp. Together they bring a combined 60 years of tennis teaching excellence to this unique camp program. Ray Reppert is currently the head women's coach at Miami University and has directed camps throughout the United States including the legendary Harry Hopman Camps. Steve Contardi is founder of the Contardi Tennis Camps, and the director of tennis at The Club at Harper's Point in Cincinnati, Ohio.
