Nike Ultimate Camps and USA Ultimate are collaborating again to provide a wonderful youth ultimate summer camp for boys and girls ages 11-14. The USAU Nike Ultimate Camp Denver teaches our campers to be the best ultimate players they can be, and hope to be a positive force in their lives for years to come on and off the field!
Our mission at the USAU Nike Ultimate Camp Denver is to provide an top notch summer day camp experience for growth and development to youth ultimate players of all ability levels. Mike Lovinguth is the Manager of Youth and Education Programs for USA Ultimate. In filling this role, Lovinguth brings to USA Ultimate a mix of sports administration, youth development and Ultimate experience. Lovinguth previously served as athletics director at Arrupe Jesuit High School in Denver from 2004-08 before filling a variety of roles at the Ohio State University for the past three years.Read Full Bio
As athletics director at Arrupe Jesuit High School, Lovinguth developed and managed the school’s first athletics department and established its sporting programs for the student body. His responsibilities also included staff and volunteer recruitment and supervision, budget oversight and facility management.
Following his tenure in Denver, Lovinguth served as sport coordinator and intern in event management for Ohio State’s athletic department since 2008. In 2009 he also began serving as a camp coordinator for Buckeye Sport Camps. For the past year, Lovinguth also lectured as a graduate teaching associate on Sports Management and Sport Humanities.
Lovinguth also brings five years of Ultimate experience to USA Ultimate, having served as the national governing body’s Ohio Valley Regional Collegiate Coordinator last season. He has also sat on the board of directors for Sun Ultimate events for the last five years, including serving as chairman of the board. The all-encompassing role allowed Lovinguth to perform a variety of Ultimate-related tasks from managing tournaments such as Glory Days, Ohio Valley Regionals, Chicago Heavyweights and Midwest Throwdown to providing direction and strategic input for the organization.
Lovinguth attended Truman State University where he received a B.A. in English Literature and Studio Art Printmaking. He then earned an M.A. in Sport Management from Ohio State in 2010.
As Manager of Youth and Education Programs, Lovinguth will design and implement strategies to increase participation in the sport of Ultimate at the youth level, as well as provide educational programs to all levels of constituents.

The USAU Nike Ultimate Camp Denver is a summer ultimate camp for girls and boys ages 11-14 who seek an exciting day camp experience with the sport of ultimate. Camp runs from 9:00am-4:00pm daily.
Our camps are open to all players, beginners through advanced.
Our camp is for players ages 11-14.
Our camps are open to both boys and girls. Instruction and play will be done in a mixed environment.
• Tuesday: Check-in from 8:45-9:00am at the Schaeffer Athletic Complex. Campers should come dressed to play. Campers will depart at 4:00pm from the fields.
• Wednesday-Thursday: Arrive from 8:45-9:00am. Depart at 4:00pm.
• Friday: Arrive from 8:45-9:00am. There is an Awards Ceremony at 3:30pm. Parents invited to attend! Check-out will be at 4:00pm.
Lunch is provided for all campers. There will not be concessions on site, any snacks or drinks should be brought with campers.
Campers will utilze the fields at the Schaeffer Athletic Complex in Denver, CO.
We provide a ratio of 1 staff member for every 8 campers. This ensures lots of one-on-one attention and teaching for each camper.
Our camp counselors and staff are hand-selected based on their ability to lead and supervise. In the event of an emergency, campers will be transported to a local hospital.
In the case of inclement weather we will do Ultimate video analysis/review and chalk talks in clubhouse.
Designated Airport: Denver International
Nike Ultimate Camps does not provide transportation to/from camp from airport, train stations or bus depots. You will have to arrange transportation to/from camp. Please call 1-800-645-3226 two weeks prior to camp to provide camper’s flight and shuttle information.
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. Our health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.
