Former NCAA Division I student-athlete Alex Kennedy was named the new head volleyball coach at Albright College at the beginning of the 2013 season. In her first season she led the Lions to a 14-15 record, one of the best in program history.
A 2012 graduate of La Salle University in Philadelphia, Kennedy was a four year member of the volleyball program and was a major contributor to the Explorer offense. Kennedy posted La Salle's best season hitting percentage, .252, her junior season, and despite an injury her senior season, totaled 86 kills, 27 blocks and a hitting percentage of .178.
With her rookie season under her belt as a coach, Kennedy looks to transform the Albright Volleyball program into a powerhouse in the Commonwealth Conference.
