Nike Volleyball Camps is proud to offer two day camps in Indianapolis this summer. Join the coaching staff at Indiana Volleyball Academy for an outstanding volleyball camp experience.
July 21-24, 2014:
All Skills instruction can be attended by girls, ages 8-16, playing at any skill level. Campers will master the fundamentals, develop proper mechanics and gain valuable game play experience.
Advanced instruction is recommended for girls ages 12-16. This intense, challenging program stresses position play, advanced team techniques and physical conditioning. Campers will be expected to participate in a thorough skill evaluation on the first day and will be divided into groups by ability level.
July 28-31, 2014:
The Position Specialty program is designed for girls who want to specialize in the Setter, Hitter or Libero (Defensive Specialist) position. Campers must select just one position to specialize and train in during camp. They will receive intensive instruction on technique and proper form for this position during the camp session.
All camps run from 9am-4pm each day with a one hour lunch break. Lunch is not included. Campers are asked to bring a sack lunch each day.

Emily is currently the director of the Indiana Volleyball Academy, a competitive volleyball club on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Emily is also the founder of the Junior Eagles Volleyball Club, a youth club program for the Zionsville community. She recently received the AVCA’s 30 Under Thirty award, which recognizes the top thirty coaches under 30 years of age. Emily has over 14 years of club coaching experience and has completed her Impact and CAP I accreditation through USA Volleyball.Read Full Bio
Emily’s coaching career started in 1999 at Hoosier Heartland Volleyball Club and as a student coach for the Indiana University Volleyball Team. At the age of 20, Emily took over as the varsity coach at her alma mater, West Lafayette High School. In 2005 and 2006, she led Western Boone to two 21-win seasons, a conference championship, and was named Boone County Coach of the year. Emily was the head coach at Zionsville High School from 2007 – 2011. In 2009, Emily earned her 100th career victory as a varsity head coach and was named the All-North Coach of the Year. Emily is currently coach the 10 Elite Team at the Indiana Volleyball Academy.
As a player, Emily was a four-year varsity starter at West Lafayette High School and was named to the All-Area and All-Conference teams during the 1996 and 1997 seasons. She began playing at the Lafayette Area Volleyball Association at age twelve and participated in three Junior National Championships. She and her husband, Steve, reside in Zionsville, IN.

Steve enters his fifth year at the Indiana Volleyball Academy with more than fourteen years of experience coaching volleyball. He has spent eight years as both an assistant and head coach in the high school ranks at Benton Central, West Lafayette, Western Boone, Zionsville, and Guerin Catholic high schools. During his time in the high school ranks, his teams have earned two conference titles and multiple 20+ win seasons.
Steve has also spent more than 11 years coaching at the club level, leading teams at Performance Point, LAVA, Indy Juniors and Indiana Volleyball Academy. In his first four years. In addition to coaching, Steve served as the Marketing and Tournament Director at Indy Juniors. He then coached for four years with the Indiana Volleyball Academy where he worked the 18-2, 17-2, 16-1, 14-1 and 15-1 teams. His 14-1 Team finished 13th in the country in the 14 Open Division at AAU Nationals in 2011.
In his first three years at the Indiana Volleyball Academy, Steve served as the Assistant Club Director and the Tournament Director, and in his final year took over as the Club Director. Steve has spent the last 5 years coaching at the Purdue Summer Camps and has also attended the AVCA Convention for the last seven years learning from some of the top coaches in the sport. Steve is ASEP, IMPACT, and CAP I certified.
Steve is currently the 15-1 coach at the Indiana Volleyball Academy and Varsity Coach at Lebanon High School. Steve resides in Zionsville, Indiana with his wife Emily.
