UC Santa Cruz Nike Volleyball Camp Santa Cruz, California
The University of California at Santa Cruz is located just 35 miles from San Jose, on a beautiful coastal campus overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by gorgeous views and towering redwoods, campers will be inspired to improve their game.
The All Skills program is open to girls of any ability level. You'll master the fundamentals, develop proper mechanics and gain valuable game play experience.
The Advanced program is recommended for high school varsity (entering sophomore, junior or senior year) and club players with a commitment to the sport and the ability and motivation to play at the college level. This intense and challenging program stresses position play, advanced team techniques and physical conditioning.
In addition to drills and court practice, campers have the opportunity to play volleyball on the nearby beautiful Santa Cruz Beach and enjoy the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.

Todd Hollenbeck
Todd Hollenbeck takes over the both Slug teams after two successful seasons with the Men’s program and one successful season with the Women’s program.
Todd previously coached 2 successful seasons with both the boys and girls varsity at Peninsula High School.
Read Full BioTodd has coached at Peninsula High School for over five years as a coach, camp counselor and volunteer assistant while pursuing a career in marketing.
Originally from Rancho Palos Verdes located in southern California, Todd attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton CA. In 2007 Hollenbeck graduated from Pacific with a degree in Marketing.
Hollenbeck played division I volleyball for the Tigers as an outside hitter and middle blocker. In his senior year, he received the "Most Inspirational Player" award.
The NIKE Volleyball camp at UC Santa Cruz provides campers with top quality instruction plus:
Overnight campers: Dormitory housing on campus and all meals are provided.
Extended Day campers (9am-9pm - except on first and last day): Lunch and dinner are provided.
24-hour supervision is an important feature of every NIKE Volleyball Camp. Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.
Volleyballs: Baden Volleyballs may be purchased when you register for camp for an additional $15. Volleyballs must be paid for at the time of registration. Campers do not need to bring a ball to camp and purchasing one is optional.
Boardwalk Trip: One evening, all campers and staff visit the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. The entire coaching staff attends and supervises the campers. The camper tuition includes bus transportation to and from the boardwalk. Campers may also choose to bring additional spending money for boardwalk rides and snacks.

This camp was really fun and informative at the same time. You really get in shape over the course of the week while making new friends.

Experienced coaches
This camp is very safe. The coaches are experienced and fun to be with. I already knew the basics of volleyball but this camp taught me how to improve my skills and feel confident about them.
Great experience
As an advanced player, they evaluated me pointing out the area of weakness in my game. They stressed on what areas I need to work on to improve my game and to strive to be an outstanding person and player. They provided information on what colleges are looking for in a player, stressed that good grades too are a factor in awarding scholarships. The Santa Cruz camp was a great experience. I have participated in lots of camps locally, but found the UCSC camp the best so far. The size of campers to coaches was just right. I was at a camp that had 40 girls at my playing level, so individual instruction was limited. I made so many friends at this camp. More so than any I have attended. We keep in touch and plan on keeping in touch during our volleyball season. I hope I can again attend one of these camps. Thank you Nike VB for the camp at UCSC.

The dorms were really nice too and the food was really good. Also the campus was amazing and the trip to the beach and the boardwalk was sooo much fun. i also met alot of great friends at the camp and of course i loved playing volleyball and the coaches were really helpful. "I heard through my daughters stories and she had a blast. For an advanced volleyball player, the level was good and the coaches pushed the team to try harder. Fun and exciting
Nike Volleyball Camp was a truly fun and exciting experience. I got to spend an good amount of time with my friends but I also enjoyed making new friends. My skill level went up so much because I played with other volleyball players almost exactly my level. The best thing they did, though, was letting me have one of the best weeks of my life!
