During her years as a Casting Director in film and television, she was able to work on many projects with children.  Susan taught them how to relax before their audition,  how to be in the moment and confident when filming and how to bring that confidence and joy to their everyday lives.

Susan has always hoped to marry her love for working with children with her love for yoga.  After leaving the entertainment industry, Susan received her children’s yoga teaching certification through Karma Kids Yoga in New York City and 200hr. adult teaching certification through Yoga Haven.

Susan has seen toddlers do inversions,  5 year old boys practicing standing poses with focus and discipline and young girls discuss positive attributes in a person and then create yoga poses which represent this attribute.

Budding Buddhas children’s yoga was created to inspire, empower, and teach children the joy of yoga in an age-appropriate manner.

The joy and inspiration Susan finds teaching yoga to children is endless.

Tobi’s passion, to help others thrive in life by nurturing body, mind and breath, is embodied at Tovami Yoga. Over 35 classes, taught by a dynamic team of instructors, are offered each week that are open to every “body,” from beginner to the advanced practitioner, as well as for kids, teens, and older adults. Also, the studio offers specialized classes for women, including prenatal, and  a 200- and 300-hour teacher training program with Lila Tandava.

As a community-minded studio, Tovami Yoga was a proud partner of the “Sunset Yoga in the Park” Summer Series with Westchester Parks Foundation, offering free classes to hundreds of residents at Westchester’s favorite parks.
