    Director Estevan Vasquez

    Estevan Vasquez is the Head Baseball Coach at The Atonement High, in San Antonio, Texas. As well as serving as the Athletic Director and a Physical education Teacher. Coach Vasquez started coaching as the Assistant Baseball Coach and Head Softball Coach at Coastal Bend College. He is currently working to complete his Doctorate of Education at Texas A&M University.

At the Atonement Academy Nike Baseball Camp campers are grouped by age and position to provide the best opportunity for them to improve. All aspects of the game are covered from hitting, fielding, baserunning, along with team offense and defense.

December 28, 2017 - Full Day

The camp will highlight fundamental skills and techniques related with the game of baseball.  All youth campers will be positioned in groups based on age and individual skills.  The camp goal is to advance the skills of all campers and have fun playing the game of baseball.

The camp is intended to help campers move from youth baseball fields to full regulation baseball fields (90 foot bases). This camp will assist players with the move to the larger field and prepare them for middle school and high school tryouts.

SUMMER PROGRAMS

June 11-14, 2018

The Four Day Camp is propose to give the youth campers a complete baseball experience.  The hitting instruction of this camp will focus on teaching the hitting mechanics by using a variety of small group drill stations.  The defensive instruction will review basic fundamentals involved in throwing and catching in playing both the infield and the outfield.  Youth campers will work on the fundamentals of pitching and catching in group stations.  Proper base running and sliding will also be covered during this camp. Scrimmage games will played in each day to instruct game strategies as a defensive and offensive player and mostly to build a confident youth baseball player.

The Four Day Camp is propose to give the youth campers a complete and advanced baseball experience in this age group.  The hitting instruction of this camp will focus on teaching proper bunting and hitting mechanics by using a variety of small group drill stations as well the mental preparation as a hitter.  The defensive instruction will review proper techniques in throwing and catching on playing both the infield and the outfield.  Advanced instruction in base running and sliding will also be covered during this camp. Scrimmage games will played in each day to instruct game strategies as a defensive and offensive player and mostly to build a confident youth baseball player.  This camp will also feature strength and conditioning, mental aspects in pitching and hitting, and academics goals or recruitment.
