NBC Basketball is coming to Mount Vernon, Washington at Mount Vernon High School for a basketball day camp for athletes ages 8-13. Our training curriculum focuses on basketball fundamentals such as shooting, defense, dribbling, effective passing, and much more. This camp is led by Louise McKnight and the rest of our talented coaching staff. We aim to create a fun and positive atmosphere for campers to learn the game. Camp Director Louise McKnight
Louise McKnight has been involved with NBC Camps since 2006. She has been helped run and organize day clinics, overnight individual camps, team camps, College Prep Camp and Crowell Life Skills Programs. She is an experienced educator, group fitness instructor and basketball coach in her home town.View Louise McKnight's Bio ⟩
She often works behind the scenes and on the court at various camps each summer. Working with children at school, in church and on the court is her passion. She credits NBC Camps' strong foundation for fostering an outlet to mentor children of all ages while helping them follow their dreams in basketball and life.

Unlike other camp programs where skills training falls under the expertise of the camp director, NBC Camps has built a program of training to help each camper walk out of camp a better player and person. Our site directors work as event managers helping to run a great week of camp and facilitating the implementation of our specific camp expectations. Our basketball instruction is based on skill curriculum and talent development we believe are essential to take your game to the next level. Though coaching styles and drills may change, our master teachers receive DVDs, lesson plans, and detailed training on how to maximize this week of camp. Coaching at camp is much different than coaching a team. With over 40 years experience, our goal is to give you the best basketball and life skills instruction possible.

Complete Skills Junior Day Camp: This camp type offers comprehensive skill training, motivation, and leadership training all within a 9:00am to 3:00pm time frame. This day camp is a perfect introduction for athletes into the NBC Camp program. It offers a taste of NBC excellence at a pace and intensity more suitable for younger or beginning athletes.

Age Groups: Boys and Girls 8-13 years old
Campers should bring a sack lunch (any snacks if necessary), a basketball clearly labeled with name, water bottle, and a completed medical release waiver.

ABOUT THE CAMPUS
Mt. Vernon High School's gymnasium and athletic facility provide a great venue for NBC Basketball Camps with six baskets and a full length high school game court.

What all do I need to bring to camp?
It is important that you bring your own properly inflated basketball labeled with your name, your sack lunch for the day, and your completed medical release waiver on the first day.
How intense is the basketball camp?
The camp is a junior complete skills camp designed for players that relatively new to the game (3 or less years experience). While we aim to challenge athletes to improve, we also factor in the full day schedule. Our goal is to provide the perfect balance of instruction, drills, fun and live competitive play.
