Camp Director Awvee Storey
Awvee Storey is a former professional basketball player turned player development coach. Storey played in the NBA and abroad for 11 years. He recently finished his second WNBA finals appearance in the 2022 season with Connecticut Sun as the Director of Player Development. He was also an assistant coach in the NBA G-league for the Capital City Go-Go inaugural year and Maine Celtics 2021 season.

Session I (Ages 7-12): June 24-28
Session II (Ages 7-12): July 15-19
Session III (Ages 7-12): July 29- August 2
Session IV (Ages 12-16): August 5-9
Camp Hours
Check-in: Monday at 8:30am
Closing Ceremony: Friday at 11:30am
Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.

BASKETBALLS
Nike Versa Tack Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $30. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!
PACKING LIST
Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.

Ida Lee Park Recreation Center is a full-service recreation facility, offering a fitness center, a full-size basketball court with adjustable hoops, racquetball courts, banquet hall, and a full range of fitness and recreation programs and classes. The Ida Lee Recreation Center is located in Leesburg, Virginia approximately 40 minutes northwest of Washington DC.
