Harrison Singer - Camp Director

Harrison Singer is the head boys basketball coach at the prestigious Hebrew Academy in Miami Beach, FL. He led the team to Top 100 State rankings in his first season at the helm in one of the Warriors most winningest seasons in school history with a record of 18-6, going deep into the Florida State Tournament. Coach Singer is a wealth of knowledge in the basketball world and has twenty years of experience coaching all over the country and internationally. He has coached at the collegiate level for nearly 20 years at multiple DI, DII, and DIII colleges and universities all over the county. Coach Singer was born and raised in Philadelphia and most recently working at the college ranks at St. Thomas University in Miami Florida, as the Head Coach for the Bobcats Men’s Basketball Developmental Team and lead Recruiting Coordinator for the program.

Singer previously spent multiple seasons with the St. Thomas University Men's Basketball program, helping guide the Bobcats to the Sun Conference tournament. As the Head Coach for the Bobcat’s Men’s Basketball Developmental Team and lead recruited for the program, Singer recruited one of the strongest classes in STU Men’s Basketball history, advancing to back to back championship games with the mentorship of standout DI transfers Ahmad Gilbert from the University of Minnesoda, Justin Brown from UNC Wilmington and Defensive Player Of The Year, Jahsim Floyd from St. Francis University. While at STU, Singer completed a Masters Degree in their prominent Sports Administration program. Coach Singer has also spent time at Temple University, Haverford College, Wilmington, GMU and I.U.

Coach Singer was recently named Head Coach for Team USA Maccabiah Men’s Open Basketball 3v3 Team representing Team USA in the 2025 Games in Isreal. In recent summers, Singer has been involved with Team USA Maccabi Junior Basketball, which won a Gold Medal in the 2009 Games in Israel. He is also currently the Head Coach for the Philadelphia Maccabi 17U Men’s Basketball Team that won medals in the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2023, and 2024 and took Gold Medals in the 2015 Games in Ft. Lauderdale, 2016 in St. Louis, 2017 Games in Miami in front of a packet-house home crowd at Florida International University and again most recently in the 2025 Games at University of Pittsburgh. Singer also participated as a player overseas in the European Games, winning a Gold Medal in England and Scotland, as well as winning medals in the games in Detroit (Gold Medal) and the games in Boca Raton (Silver).

Outside of coaching, Singer is the Chairman and Founder of the Annual Get Gutsy 3-on-3 Basketball Fundraiser Tournament, which benefits the GI Department at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Singer is also passionate about his volunteer work as the Co-Founder and Camp Director for the Philadelphia Men’s Basketball League (PMBL) Youth Basketball Camp. The camp caters to underserved youth in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, where he runs a Team Camp and Basketball League for close to 600 local St. Elizabeth Parish grade school kids.

In addition, Singer has experience working as an instructor and coach at the Philadelphia 76ers Camp, the University of Pennsylvania summer camps, as well as Hoop Group Elite and coach in the Sonny Hill College League.

Singer graduated from Harriton High School of Lower Merion in the class of 2002, where he was a four-year varsity player and two-year captain and as a graduate student, he has earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Muhlenberg College in 2006, where he played basketball. Later, perusing two masters degrees at Temple University and St. Thomas University (Miami).
