The South Boys Golf Showcase Camp is a junior golf experience unlike any other, giving young male athletes the chance to work directly with college coaches. Over two days, campers will receive college golf exposure and instruction from some of the best coaches in the country, all while playing at Horseshoe Bay Resort in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Horseshoe Bay is home to some of the most beautiful courses in Texas and was named one of the "Best New Course in America" by Golf Digest.
Players can expect to be seen and given instruction by every coach on staff. Unlike other camps or tournaments, the intimacy and in-depth training is unmatched, making this camp the ideal summer outing for any aspiring college athlete. Camp is limited to 40 TOTAL players.
This camp is open to players with graduation years 2023-2028 (grades 7 through 12).
*Coach Whithaus is an out-of-conference coach and serves as National Camp Coordinator for Nike College Showcase Camps.
This camp is open to any and all entrants and is only limited by age, gender, and number.

National Camp Coordinator for Nike College Showcase Camps Jon Whithaus
Jon oversees all operations and serves as camp liaison to ensure the best possible program for all Nike College Showcase Camps.View Jon's Bio ⟩
Jon is in his 7th season as the Associate Head Coach for the Duke University Women's Golf team, and also owns and operates Elite Level Golf. He has extensive experience working with players to help them to move from one level to the next level in their careers. He has coached women's and men's student-athletes that have gone on to win on 7 of the biggest tours in the world -- LPGA Tour, Ladies European Tour, Symetra Tour, PGA Tour, European Tour, Web.Com Tour, and Challenge Tour.
Jon was named the WGCA GolfPride National Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021, and also was selected as a member of the coaching staff for Team USA for the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup. He has had a very successful collegiate coaching career over the past two decades, previously as the Associate Head Men's Golf Coach at Duke University (3 years) and the Head Men's Golf Coach at Ohio Wesleyan University (12 years). His teams have reached the NCAA Championship in 18 of those years, highlighted by 14 top-10 finishes. His teams have won over 70 tournament titles throughout his career. Whithaus is the only coach in NCAA Division I to coach both a men's team (2011) and women's team (2016, 2019, 2021) into the match play semifinals of the NCAA Championship.
The goal of this program is to equip student-athletes with the knowledge and tools to take their game to a collegiate level. With some of the nation's renowned academic and athletic universities at hand, campers play in a competitive environment with hands-on instruction from Head college coaches. The camp provides a perfect platform for players to demonstrate their skills and all other assets of their game.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
We recommend all families arrive the night before camp starts.
Check-in takes place at 8:30 am on July 16th at Horseshoe Bay Resort. Check-out occurs at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 17th, following a camp conclusion ceremony with parents and players. More details are included in the camp information packet which is sent out pre-camp.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
The program tuition includes 21 hours of education, instruction, competition and guaranteed exposure to every coach. Lunch is also included both days.
TRANSPORTATION AND LODGING
Participants are responsible for their transportation to and from the camp and for accommodations before and during the camp. Lodging reservations can be made with Horseshoe Bay Resort directly, if desired. There will also be a list of nearby hotels included in the information packet.
SUPERVISION AND POLICIES
The staff will provide supervision of participants during the scheduled camp hours. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
A detailed camper information packet containing check-in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers pre-camp.

Day 1 - July 16th
- 8:30am Camp Check-in @ Horseshoe Bay Resort
- 9:00am Welcome Junior Golfers and Parents - Opening Session and introduction to camp objectives
- 9:30am Coaches to give discussion on "How to Be a Successful Collegiate Player"
- 10:00am Fundamentals of the game - skill evaluation and instruction
- 12:00pm Lunch @ Horseshoe Bay Resort and coach meet and greet
- 1:00pm Pre-round warm up at the practice facility
- 1:30pm 18 hole round on Ram Rock Golf Course with coaches on course evaluating and coaching
- 7:00pm Dinner @ Cap Rock Falls Pavillion and interaction with coaches
- 8:00pm Recruiting Seminar & Keynote Speakers
- TBD Departure after the banquet and Q&A with coaching staff
Day 2 - July 17th
- 7:30am Pre-round warm up at the practice facility
- 8:00am 18 holes of competitive golf on Apple Rock Golf Course - Coaches on course evaluating and coaching
- 1:30pm Lunch and Q&A with coaches
- 3:00pm Campers depart following closing ceremony

Ram Rock Golf Course

Apple Rock Golf Course
Renovated and reopened in 2019, this spectacular course includes holes on the back 9 which lead golfers to the shores of Lake LBJ. Newly renovated bentgrass greens, 50 renovated bunkers and water come into play on seven holes, and dramatic elevation changes test the skills of players at every level. Designed by legendary golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Apple Rock is touted as one of the most scenic and breathtaking championship golf courses in Texas. Spanning 147 acres, Jones, Sr. used some of the highest, most picturesque land in Horseshoe Bay for the Apple Rock layout.
