Nike Junior Golf Camps
Junior golf camps in Southern California return to Pacific Palms Resort for another great week of camp. Our program is led by USC Head Coach, Chris Zambri, and Assistant Coach, Justin Silverstein with current and former USC players serving as camp counselors.
Nike campers reside in double rooms at Pacific Palms Resort and have the privilege of playing their 36 holes of championship golf. Daily instruction takes place at Industry Hills private driving range and short-game area. In addition to daily instruction and course play, campers will participate in discussions on mental toughness, tournament preparation, and golf fitness. USC Trojan Camp runs from Sunday - Wednesday and is open to boys and girls, of all skill levels, ages 11 - 18.

Co-Director Chris Zambri
Chris Zambri, a former USC All-Pac-10 performer and longtime Nationwide Tour veteran, is the acting USC men's golf head coach.View Chris Zambri's Bio ⟩
Zambri has established himself as among the top coaches in the nation and has taken his team to the NCAA Championships final in each of his first eight years.
Zambri's teams have won 18 events (as of Nov. 1, 2014), including Pac-10 titles in 2007 and 2011 and NCAA Regionals in 2008 and 2012. His 2008 team came within three strokes of first place at the NCAA Championships. Trojan golfers have also won 17 individual crowns under Zambri (as of Nov. 1, 2014).
The 2013-14 Trojans featured a pair of PING All-American third teamers in freshman Rico Hoey and junior Anthony Paolucci, who led the team to the eighth straight NCAA Championship final under Zambri. The squad won once and posted six top 3 finishes and tied for fourth in a tight NCAA Sugar Grove Regional to earn a spot into the NCAA final. Hoey was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year with one of the top seasons in USC golf history, leading USC in stroke average (71.36), top 10 finishes (eight), rounds in the 60s (16), birdies (165) and eagles (eight). Hoey and Paolucci earned 2014 GCAA All-West Region honors, Paolucci was All-Pac-12 second team and three others earned honorable mention honors. Hoey also represented the U.S. on the 2014 Palmer Cup team.
Zambri, 40, played six years on the Nationwide Tour and was an active teaching professional when he was not competing. A 1993 USC graduate who played for the Trojans from 1989 to 1993, Zambri played six seasons on the Nationwide Tour between 1997 and 2004. He finished as high as 19th on the circuit's money list in 1998, posting two second-place finishes that year. He competed in four PGA Tour events as well as the 1995 and 1999 U.S. Opens. As a Trojan, he was a two-time All-Pac-10 second team selection in 1991 and 1993.
Co-Director Justin Silverstein
Justin Silverstein, an accomplished collegiate coach as well as former player who helped USC’s women’s golf team win a national title in 2013, is now an Associate Head Coach for the USC men’s golf team.View Justin Silverstein's Bio ⟩
Silverstein joins the Trojans’ men’s staff, directed by Head Coach Chris Zambri, after four years with the women’s team under WGCA Hall of Fame Coach Andrea Gaston. He served two years (2013-14) as an assistant coach and two more as associate head coach (2015-16). Silverstein replaces assistant coach Tyler Goulding, who returned to his alma mater, Air Force, to serve in the same capacity.
The USC Trojan Golf Camp provides young golfers with the tools to enjoy this great game for a lifetime. Our curriculum is the perfect blend of expert instruction, course play and fun off-course activities. With the experience and passion of coaches Zambri and Silverstein and their staff, each Nike camper can leave at the end of the week feeling more confident about their game. Check-in and Check-out
Check-in occurs from 1:00 - 2:30pm on Sunday. Check-out is from 3:30 - 4:00pm on Wednesday.
Campers are housed in doubles at Pacific Palms Resort. All meals are served at the dining facilities at the resort. The camp tuition includes all golf instruction, green fees, evening activities, housing and meals.
Nike Junior Golf Camps does not provide transportation to and from airports, bus depots or train stations. The information packet we send to registered campers in the spring offers suggestions on shuttle services for each specific camp.
Campers are supervised 24 hours a day. The staff resides at the resort with the campers and participates in evening activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring.
This camp is open to any and all entrants. USC is not a sponsor or co-sponsor of this program.
Sample Daily Schedule
- 8:00am Breakfast
- 9:00am - Noon Small group instruction - campers work through stations/drills working on putting & chipping, pitching & bunker, and full swing
- Noon Lunch
- 1:00 - 5:30pm Course play with staff focusing on course management, shot selection, strategy, rules and etiquette
- 6:00pm Dinner
- 7:00 - 9:30pm Evening activities
- 10:30pm Lights out
