Nike Junior Golf Camps
Nike Junior Golf Camps has once again partnered with Central Ohio Golf Academy to host a two-day short game camp. The philosophy of the COGA Short Game Camp is to provide an atmosphere in which competitive golfers can improve their scoring skills.
The short game camp is designed for players ages 14 - 18 who are committed to raising their game to another level. Our staff, led by Joel Glassburn (owner/director of the COGA Junior Tour), college coaches, and PGA professionals combines comprehensive instruction within college-level practice sessions. The student-to-instructor ratio will not exceed 6:1 to ensure that each student receives individualized attention that is tailored to his or her specific needs.

Camp Director Ian Miller
Ian Miller, a PGA member, serves as Head Men's Golf Coach and Director of Golf Operations at Ohio Wesleyan University. Ian came to Ohio Wesleyan after serving for three years as head professional at The Quarry Golf Club in Canton, Ohio.View Ian Miller's Bio ⟩
Miller has been a Class A PGA member since 2004, continuing his education with PGA classes and seminars on the way to a virtual graduate degree in golf. Ian was a 2-Time All-American, including a 4th place finish in the 1999 NCAA Championship. Miller has continued his playing career as well, competing in PGA Professional National Championship events in 2007 and 2009.
Coach Brian Booher
Brian has been a PGA certified professional for over 15 years. A graduate of Penn State University in professional golf management, he is currently the men's and women's golf coach at Otterbein University.View Brian Booher's Bio ⟩
Brian also coached the Granville H.S. Golf Team for 12 seasons. He is K-Vest certified and Titleist TPI certified.
Coach Joel Glassburn
Joel is the men’s varsity coach at Olentangy High School in Lewis Center, Ohio and the Director of the Central Ohio Golf Academy.View Joel Glassburn's Bio ⟩
He was a member of the Ohio Wesleyan golf team where he had one individual tournament win and multiple top 5 and top 10 finishes. He played in 3 Division III National Championships helping the Bishops to an 8th place finish in 1999. Joel received All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in 1999 and 2000. He was the Dick Gordin Award winner for the Player of the Year in the NCAC in 2000 while leading OWU to it’s first North Coast Athletic Conference Championship in 6 years.
The Ohio Wesleyan golf program has earned a reputation for teaching and producing great short game players. The Central Ohio Golf Academy offers this instruction, theory, and focus on practice habits. Coaches Miller and Glassburn use the excellent facilities at Oakhaven Golf Club to ensure that each student acquires the knowledge and understanding to take his or her golf game to the next level. Upon completion of the short game camp, each student will receive a written evaluation designed specifically by his or her instructor and a practice plan. CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
Please refer to the registration packet (emailed in spring) for check-in and check-out details.
The overnight program tuition includes all golf instruction, course play, activities, housing and meals. The commuter option includes all golf instruction and lunch. Commuters arrive at 8:00am and depart at 5:00pm on Day 1. Day 2 begins at 9:00am and ends at 4:00pm.
Campers are housed on campus at Ohio Wesleyan. Breakfast and dinner is served in the dining hall. Campers are supervised 24 hours a day. The staff lives in the dormitories adjacent to the campers and participates in evening activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
Nike Junior Golf Camps does not provide transportation to and from airports, bus depots or train stations. The packet we send to registered campers in the spring offers suggestions on shuttle services for each specific camp.
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the spring.

Oakhaven Golf Club
Oakhaven Golf club is a public golf course that features not only an 18-hole championship golf course, but also one of Central Ohio's premier practice facilities. Oakhaven Golf Club is open year-round for all golfers to play and practice. Oakhaven features an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course, premier 50-acre lighted driving range with 33 heated covered tees and 60 grass tees, two practice chipping greens with a sand bunker, a 5,000-square-foot putting green, and a new indoor putting facility.
