St Andrews Links® Golf Academy
St Andrews Links Academy boasts some of the finest state-of-the-art teaching facilities as well as a great short game area and driving range. While in St Andrews, Steve North and his team of PGA professional will be working on teaching our juniors the key aspects to mastering the Links game. There will be no swing reconstructions or technical pointers unless this is something the individual would like. We will be working on teaching the juniors how best to play the links game. This will include trajectory control, shot shaping and spin control. Around the greens will include bump and run chip shots, pot bunker play and long putting. All these things will help prepare the juniors for the challenges that lie ahead of them when playing Links golf.
St Andrews Links® Golf Courses
St Andrews is famously known around the world as the Home of Golf. In total the town has 189 holes of golf to choose from which offers juniors on our golf camps an exciting variety of links golf to experience. St Andrews Links Trust currently operates six courses on the links – the world-renowned Old Course, the New Course (established in 1895), the Jubilee (1897), the Eden (1914), the Strathtyrum (1993) and the nine-hole Balgove. A seventh – The Castle Course – has been built in a panoramic coastal setting to the south of the town.
The Jubilee Course - The third championship course at the Home of Golf, the Jubilee is considered by many to be the most challenging course on the famous Links. Built in 1897, it was originally intended for use by ladies and beginners; however, after seeing its prime golfing location between the New Course and the sea, the Jubilee was converted to a championship layout in 1988.
The Castle Course - The newest addition to St Andrews Links, The Castle Course opened in 2008 becoming the seventh course at the Home of Golf and part of the largest public golfing complex in Europe. Set on a rugged cliff-top with spectacular views over St Andrews, The Castle Course offers a memorable golfing experience.
The Eden Course - Only slightly more forgiving than its contemporaries on the seaward side of the Links, the Eden Course was built in 1914 by Harry S. Colt whose use of natural boundaries and severe bunkers provides a course full of character.
The Strathtyrum Course - Designed to complement the tougher championship layouts at the Home of Golf, the Strathtyrum was opened in 1993. Although few in number (15), the bunkers are cunningly placed and there is considerable emphasis on iron play accuracy. The greens themselves are large and have slopes and borrows which can test even the most confident putters.
The Balgove Course - The Balgove is the only nine-hole course at the Home of Golf and primarily caters for families, children and beginners. Featuring bunkers and a double green, the Balgove is the perfect practice ground for Links golf and consolidates St Andrews Links’ reputation as a destination that caters for all ages and abilities.
Kingsbarns Golf Links
Kingsbarns Golf Links is situated 7 miles from St Andrews along 1.8 miles of picturesque North Sea coastline, where each hole embraces the sea. In addition to enjoying our Worldwide Top 100 ranked course, we hope lifelong memories of our comfortable, friendly and attentive service complete your “Kingsbarns Experience”.
Fairmont St Andrews
The Torrance - Designed by former Ryder Cup and golfing legend Sam Torrance, Its marked by its deep revetted bunkers, large greens and links design. The Torrance has hosted the Seniors European Tour Event six times between 2009 and 2014, and continues to offer an enjoyable golfing experience.
The Kittocks - The Kittocks Course has been designed by Bruce Devlin, a notable course architect of many famous courses including the Kings Course at Gleneagles and the exclusive Secession club in Beaufort, SC. It’s a 72-par course spread upon 5600 – 7191 yards. The Kittocks is a long and challenging course requiring nerves of steel to navigate its many holes running alongside the coastline. It’s famously played host to Europro Tournament 2007 and 2009 and Scottish Youths National Championship 2016.
Camp ReviewsSubmit a review
I wanted to thank you for the terrific time that Olly had during his time at the camp. He had a brilliant week and came back very positive about the golf and the whole event. It was his first real experience of playing links golf and so he feels he learned a lot about the required skills and his game. He really enjoyed the coaching and playing the different courses. He obviously had a good group of players around him and has made some new friends as a result of the camp. The fact these are mostly overseas individuals makes it a more diverse and rewarding experience. From my perspective the whole organisation of the event and the structure/ communication made it very easy to deal with you and the team. Thank you once again for hosting what was clearly a very successful camp.

Lives up to the Hype
There are very few things in life that live up to the hype, and even fewer things that exceed it. Our trip last week exceeded the hype. You guys do it right all the way around. I won't go on and on here, but your personal service was exceptional. Words don't do it justice to how relaxing it was to have everything all set up, being driven around and not worrying, and all the personal touches. I'll end by saying a very heartfelt thank you. You guys are a class act and wonderful hosts. I hope to be able to come back soon.
