Come join Barrington High School Boy’s Lacrosse Coach, Alex Champagne, along with East Greenwich Youth Lacrosse Coach Jared Zimmer, this summer at the Nike Lacrosse Camp at Rocky Hill School. The school is located on 84 acres along the Potowomut River and Narragansett Bay in East Greenwich, RI.
This is a complete skills day camp designed for youth lacrosse players ages 9-17, from Kent County, and beyond. In addition to stick skills, position work, and scrimmaging, this camp includes a specialized speed and agility program. The feature that separates this camp from the rest is our daily Pro-session where campers are exposed to the highest level of play.

Camp Director Alex Champagne
After dynamic collegiate playing experience at both Ohio Wesleyan and Mount Ida College, which resulted in three NCAA Tournament appearances and multiple individual national awards, Coach Champagne headed to China and played lacrosse internationally for Team Hong Kong for two years, including a second place finish in the 2012 Shanghai Cup.View Alex Champagne's Bio ⟩
Coach Champagne currently is the Head Coach at Barrington High School, a Division I school in Rhode Island, where he has turned the program into a top-three state team. He has over a decade of coaching experience at the middle and high school level, including appearances at many collegiate camps.
Camp Director Jared Zimmer
While a student at Rocky Hill School, Jared Zimmer ’89 was a captain of the Boys’ Varsity Soccer and Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse teams. In 2013, Jared was the first head coach of the Cranston West High School Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse team.View Jared Zimmer's Bio ⟩
While at Cranston West, he received the 2013 Division III Coach of the Year Award, the 2016 Division II Sportsmanship Award, and the 2016 Rhode Island Lacrosse Officials Association’s Ted Gilmartin Sportsmanship Award. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the East Greenwich Youth Lacrosse Association and has led their Division I team to a 2018 State Championship. Jared also coaches youth lacrosse in East Greenwich and is a Rhode Island Lacrosse Official.
Nike Lacrosse Camps provide players of all positions and ability levels the opportunity to improve and refine every facet of their game in a positive, progressive and challenging environment. Our high performance lacrosse camp directors and coaches are involved in every step of the process, from teaching fundamental skills to promoting championship habits.
DAY CAMP AMENITIES

A detailed camper registration packet containing check-in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers prior to camp. Our health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp. What to bring:
- Health & Release Forms (Hand in at check-in)
- Cleats or Turf Shoes
- Helmet and Mouthpiece
- Lacrosse Stick, Gloves & Pads
- Swim Trunks
- Water Bottle
- Campers must bring their own lunch each day
Each Camper receives a reversible jersey
Check-in takes place at 8:30am Monday, July 15th. Camp begins at 9:00am. Health/Release Forms must be completed and brought you to camp. Campers cannot be admitted without this form.
Camp ends at 3:00pm each day. There will be a closing ceremony at 2:30pm on Thursday, July 18th.
Team Discount: If five or more campers register together, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. Please have a team contact reach out directly to the USSC office at 1-800-645-3226 to receive a discount code to identify your group. Campers may then register through the website at their convenience and apply the coupon code during check-out.
Goalie Discount: To ensure each session has enough goalies for drills and scrimmages, all goalies automatically qualify for a special $50 discount. You can call 1-800-645-3226 to receive the goalie discount over the phone or you can indicate that you are eligible for the goalie discount in the “comments” field when registering via our secure website. Goalie discount cannot be combined with any other discount.
Sibling Discount: $25 off each player. You can call 1-800-645-3226 to receive the sibling discount over the phone or you can indicate that you are eligible for the sibling discount in the “comments” field when registering via our secure website. Sample Daily Schedule
- 8:45 AM Campers arrive
- 9:00 AM Dynamic Warm Up and Age-Appropriate Agilities
- 9:30 AM Technical Skill Training in Small Groups. Each day will have a different emphasis. Examples - outlet passing, advanced shooting techniques, position specific skills, etc. Fun skill competitions and games will be included in the curriculum.
- 11:00 AM Lunch
- 11:45 AM Tactical Training in Small Groups. Each day will have a different emphasis. Examples - Defense to Attack Transition, Proper Checking, Cutting, etc.
- 1:30 PM Small and Large Scale Game Play with emphasis on utilizing new skills and decision making.
- 2:30 PM Camper cool-down swim with lifeguard!
- 3:00 PM Campers depart
