US Sports Camps acquires Play Your Game Collective, provider of Esports Camps
US Sports Camps, America’s largest sports camp provider and the licensed operator of the NIKE Sports Camps, has announced the finalization of a deal to acquire Play Your Game Collective (PYGC), operators of the competitive gaming focused, Esports Camps.
PYGC pivoted quickly in the late spring to convert its expansive “in-person” summer camp schedule to virtual programming that connected campers to coaches from across the nation. It also worked with its partners Logitech, Riot Games and Statespace to enhance the educational and competitive experience for each of its campers. In particular, it worked closely with Logitech to help develop a new, modular based curriculum for youth Esports training.
Ujesh Desai, vice president of gaming at Logitech says, “It’s been great working with Esports Camps team to develop a curriculum that will advance human performance in gaming, while also creating healthier and more sustainable training habits. We’re excited to roll this out this fall and hopefully in person next summer.”
