Nike Junior Golf Camps Announces 2018 Winter Golf Camps in Phoenix, AZ
NJGC National Director of Instruction, Jeff Ritter, set to host Nike Advanced Junior Golf Camp at Ocotillo Golf Club in January 2018
November 1, 2017 – The Nike Advanced Winter Golf Camp at Ocotillo Golf Club is offered January 3-6, 2018 and is open to tournament-level players, ages 12-18. Campers and staff stay at a nearby hotel walking distance to Ocotillo GC for the duration of the camp. Participants receive 8+ total hours of instruction and play between 45 and 54 holes of golf.
Nike Junior Golf Camps recently announced the addition of a winter advanced golf camp in 2018. Ocotillo Golf Club, located in Phoenix, Arizona, serves as the host site for the new program during the first week of January, 2018. Directed by long-time Monterey Peninsula golf camp coach, Jeff Ritter, this program is structured to give junior players the tools to improve their skills and competitive results in high school, tournament play, and beyond.
“Jeff Ritter and his MTT Performance staff have produced one of the best instructional experiences in the country at our flagship camp location in Pebble Beach, CA. We are thrilled to offer a similar, immersive overnight camp that allows our campers to continue working on their game during the winter school break,” explains Westy McQueen of Nike Junior Golf Camps. “The mild, winter weather in the Phoenix-area combined with the immaculate facilities of Ocotillo Golf Club provides the perfect setting for this new program.”
Jeff Ritter, Golf Channel Academy instructor and owner of MTT Performance, brings a mentally-intensive approach to his instruction and sets high expectations for his students’ success. His staff of instructors and local collegiate standouts provide close instruction to each camper at the practice facility and on the golf course. On-course instruction includes shot/club selection, scoring situations, and mental toughness scenarios.
“In today’s competitive landscape, success at the highest level comes from an integrated approach that infuses technical skill, emotional mastery and physical well-being,” says Jeff Ritter. “Our program is an ‘all steps forward’ initiative that provides talented players with more tools to express their game.”
