2023 Top-Rated Nike Soccer Camps
Nike Soccer Camps is excited to announce the inaugural Top-10 Rated Camp & Director Awards winners! The winners of the Top-Rated Camp & Director Awards have helped set an example of how we want our camps to be run across the nation. The quality of their camps is backed up by registration numbers, parent reviews, and the ease of collaboration between our offices and the camp staff. Each of the camps and directors honored by this award took great initiative in 2023 and set high standards for all camps moving into 2024.
This year’s recipient of the 2023 Top-Rated Camp & Director Awards for Nike Soccer Camps is Beestera Soccer Training, directed by Mike Matera. The Beestera camps accrued over 2,400 campers and boasted an average score of 45.6/50 or higher. Offering 10 weeks of day camps in 15 locations, Beestera also added five more locations in 2023, including new residential camps in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. Originally founded in 2014, Beestera now has 24 locations across the East Coast.
We spoke with Mike Matera and asked him what he thinks is the key to running a successful camp. Here’s the insight he shared.
“I have been running camps for eight years. I have learned the importance of priding ourselves in developing the whole person. Focusing on becoming a better player, but also a better person. I tell my coaches you can change a young player's life by motivating and influencing them.”
Nine other camps excelled in parent participation, reviews, and camp quality. Each showcased the importance that sports camps can hold in a community. These camps provided safe, educational, and fun experiences for kids — proving themselves valuable members of the US Sports Camps family.
