CAMP PROGRAM INFORMATION

• Camp Type(s) Offered: 3-Day Adult Camp
• Gender: Coed
• Age Range: 18+
• Skill Levels: Advanced Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced (skill rating: 2.75 - 4.0)

SKILL LEVELS & GROUP PLACEMENT

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. Participants are then sorted by ability first, then age per the Camp Director's discretion - adjustments are made as needed during camp.

While there are many ways to define skill levels, the following descriptions are what the Camp Directors at Nike Pickleball Camps will use to organize and group camp participants. At the time of registration, please choose the level that best represents your experience:

• Advanced Beginner: Players at this level can hit basic shots and possess a fundamental understanding of the rules, scoring, and court positioning. Focus is on building confidence and familiarity with the game. (DUPR rating 2.75-3.0)

• Intermediate: Players at this level understand the rules and strategy of pickleball and can sustain rallies using a mix of shots. They can hit with some spin and accuracy, resulting in fewer unforced errors. Focus is on refining technique, improving court awareness, and developing strategic play. (DUPR rating 3.0-3.5)

• Advanced: Players at this level are proficient in all aspects of the game and employ advanced strategies. They exhibit strong footwork and a deep understanding of gameplay dynamics. This level focuses on competitive play, advanced shot-making, and tactical decision-making. (DUPR rating 4.0+)

SPRING CAMP SCHEDULE

Dates: March 14-16, April 11-13, May 16-18

• Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm: Kitchen Strategy, Round Robin & Social
  • Comprehensive kitchen play and strategy. We will go in depth on dinking, volleys, overheads, and covering the middle of court. Drills will focus on technique and strategy and finish with coached play. Seltzers, beer, and light snacks will be served at the end of the day!
• Saturday 11:00am-3:00pm: 3rd Shot Drop and Transition Zone Strategy
  • 3^rd Shot Drop, and 3^rd Shot drive. The camp’s second day will focus on the technique and strategy of the third shot. Court position for both teams will be emphasized. Dinking and kitchen strategy will also be reinforced. The day will finish with coached play and games run by the pros. Seltzers, beer, and light snacks will be served at the end of the day!
• Sunday 9:00am-11:00am: Serves & Returns, All things Defense
  • Serves, returns, and moving through the transition zone. We take a deep dive into serve/return technique and strategy. Following that we explain how to move through the transition zone effectively with your partner. The camp will finish with coached play and games run by the pros!

SUMMER CAMP SCHEDULE

Dates: June 5-7, June 19-21, July 10-12, July 24-26, August 7-9, August 21-23

• Thursday 9:00am-12:00pm: Kitchen Strategy, Round Robin & Social
  • Comprehensive kitchen play and strategy. We will go in depth on dinking, volleys, overheads, and covering the middle of court. Drills will focus on technique and strategy and finish with coached play. Seltzers, beer, and light snacks will be served at the end of the day!
• Friday 8:00am-12:00pm: 3rd Shot Drop and Transition Zone Strategy
  • 3^rd Shot Drop, and 3^rd Shot drive. The camp’s second day will focus on the technique and strategy of the third shot. Court position for both teams will be emphasized. • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring a pickleball paddle, athletic shoes and a water bottle

• Medical Protocol: In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for the tuition fees paid, valid for one year for any sport and transferable to any immediate family member. Please note that participants who do not attend their registered session (no-shows) or fail to notify USSC at least 24 hours prior to check-in will not receive a voucher or refund.

Refunds are available only if the Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your payment due date (1st of the month prior to your camp start date). These policies are in place to account for camp fees associated with each registration that is made in advance of the program. Camper waives any and all damages that may otherwise arise out of any camp cancellation and agrees to accept as liquidated damages said registration fees.

WILD DUNES RESORT ACCOMMODATIONS & TRAVEL

This is a Day Camp only; housing is not included in the camp tuition. Campers are responsible for arranging their own overnight accommodations if needed. US Sports Camps, the Camp Director, camp staff, and the host facility are not liable for any travel-related arrangements, including but not limited to flights, hotels, Airbnbs, or rental cars.

We recommend booking refundable or flexible travel and accommodation options in case of any changes to the camp schedule.
