Our 2019 Nike Running Camp in Marin County is held at the beautiful San Domenico School in San Anselmo, California. This great Bay Area camp is designed for runners, of all speeds and abilities, interested in running glorious trails, receiving serious instruction and having lots of fun!

Head Coach Mary Churchill
Mary Churchill has been a coach and teacher for the past twenty years. She has coached at the middle, high school, and collegiate level. A graduate of the University of Connecticut where she majored in molecular cell biology and ran Division 1 Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track for four years earning All New England honors and being on two Big East Championship Track and Field Teams.View Mary's Bio ⟩
She has coached in the state of CT, VT, MA, and CA and coached athletes at state and national level championship races. Post collegiately, Mary has completed dozens of marathons and ultra marathons and has represented the United States on the World 100k team.
Head Coach Mark Churchill
Mark Churchill has been a coach and teacher for the past twenty year. He has coached at the middle and high school level. A four time high school state champion and New England Champion in Cross country and track and field he earned a full scholarship to Iona College in New York.View Mark's Bio ⟩
While at Iona College Mark participated in team competitions at the national level where he raced in the NCAA championship races with his team-mates. Upon graduating Mark went on to coach eight state championship teams and multiple state champions in his home state of VT.
We offer overnight and day camp options for boys and girls of all skill levels.
2019 Camp Dates
- July 29-August 2
Overnight Campers: Features several instructional sessions per day, three hot meals, and lodging in the residence halls. An evening recreation program is also included.
Extended Day Campers (8:00 am-8:00 pm): This option offers the same features as the resident camp minus lodging.
Day Campers (8:00 am-4:30 pm): Arrive on campus after breakfast, prepared to run! Lunch is included, campers depart after the afternoon instructional sessions.
Runners are put into pace groups based on current run times and distances. Unique off-campus runs are planned each morning, afternoon pool jogging, breakout sessions, yoga and dynamic stretching are planned to round out the camp experience.
A round-trip local shuttle is available for interested day campers from Terra Linda and San Rafael locations. The cost is $25 per week. To sign up for the shuttle, please contact San Domenico School directly at www.sandomenico.org/campregister. You will be asked to create an account on the San Domenico Camps page and then are be able to register and reserve a spot.
The staff live in the dormitories with the campers and participate in evening activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact numbers, and a checklist of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. The US Sports Camps health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature. The 2 forms will be collected at check-in.
If five or more campers register together, each camper is eligible for a $30 discount. Please have a team contact reach out directly to the USSC office at 1-800-645-3226 to receive a discount code to identify your group. Campers may then register through the website at their convenience and apply the coupon code during check-out.
if you are looking for a fabulous camp experience, this is it! Set on 515 acres in San Anselmo, campers have access to the trails from campus and also have planned trail runs on nearby Phoenix and Bon Tempe Lakes, the Bear Valley Coastal Trail in Pt. Reyes, and on the nearby trails of the spectacular Mt. Tamalpais. Campers stay in the dorms on campus and eat in the dining hall. Picnics are also planned for added fun!
Camp Questions & Answers
How and when will I receive my Registration packet with important camp details?
Well before the start of your camp (at least 3 weeks), you will receive a Registration Packet which will include all the important details about camp: directions to camp, when to arrive, what to pack/ bring, camp address (for mail) and key camp phone numbers and the Medical/ Release form, etc.
Does the Health & Release Form need to be signed by a doctor?
Our Health & Release Form does not require a doctor’s signature. This form is required to be filled out accurately, signed by the parent (guardian), and brought with you to the first day of camp.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
Campers dine in the school cafeteria which offers a variety of different meal options that are sure to accommodate most campers’ dietary needs. In the case that a camper possesses extreme dietary restrictions, please reach out to school’s Dining Services to make the proper accommodations.
Are the campers supervised throughout the camp?
Yes, campers are supervised by the coaches and staff. Staff members reside in the same dorms as the campers and provide supervision during instruction, dining times, evening activities, and in the dorm. All staff members complete criminal and sex offender background checks before working the camp.
How many campers are placed in a dorm and do you accommodate roommate requests?
When you register for the camp, you have an option to submit a roommate request. If you would like to add a roommate request after registering for a camp, please feel free to give us a call or send us an email. We accommodate all roommate requests, made before 2 weeks before the start of camp. Campers who do not submit a roommate request will be placed in a dorm with other runners, similar age and same gender.
Is swimming offered at camp?
Yes, there is a pool on campus and both recreational swims and pool running are offered.
Do the dorms have air-conditioning?
No, we recommend you bring a fan. Reminder, that is always cools down at night making for most comfortable sleeping!
Can I come to camp alone or do I have to be a member of a team?
We welcome individual campers and teams. If you come to camp by yourself, we place you in a dorm room with another single camper, similar in age. It's a great place to meet new friends who share your enthusiasm for the sport and to have FUN!
What is the cancellation policy?
For those who have Cancellation Protection: Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees (deposit or full payment) if you cancel for any reason before June 1st. Please note: $50 Cancellation Protection fee is non-refundable. If you cancel after June 1st, 2019, we will issue you a camp voucher for all camp fees paid, valid through 2020. Your camp voucher is transferable to family and may be used for any Nike Running Camp. For those who do not have Cancellation Protection: If you have to cancel, for any reason, we will issue you a Nike Running Camp voucher for all camp fees paid, valid through 2020. Your camp voucher is transferable to a family member and may be used for any Nike Running Camps. Cash refunds will be given only with the purchase of Cancellation Protection and who cancel on time.
