The training facilities at St. John's University are among the best in the nation. Campers train at DaSilva Memorial Field.
Originally opened as St. John's Stadium in 1978, DaSilva Memorial Field was rededicated in 1998 in memory of John DaSilva, a St. John's University hockey star who was killed tragically in an automobile accident. DaSilva Memorial Field is home to the men's lacrosse and women's track and field teams, and has a seating capacity of 1,200. The field was resurfaced in the summer of 2004 to incorporate the new Field Turf surface. In 2010, the University completed the D'Angelo Center, a 127,000-square foot, five-story student center that is adjacent to the field.
