The Vogelsinger Method
Our goal is to create an environment—a GAME-LIKE ATMOSPHERE—through dynamic teaching and coaching by explanation, demonstration and participation to assist each player in creating a METHOD TO SELF-TEACH.
It is a painstaking STEP-BY-STEP method. We must create for you a crystal-clear picture of what we are trying to teach through demonstration and explanation. You must understand clearly and be able to picture every little detail in your MIND’S EYE. Moreover, you then have to see yourself performing it successfully, and physically feel it and emotionally experience it.
The ultimate goal of self-teaching is INTERNALIZING MOTIVATION and knowing where you are, where you want to be, and how to get there step-by-step. We say you “FAIL YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS” because with this method, mistakes become your guidelines.
You will become a BETTER PLAYER. You will become a BETTER PERSON, as you will learn how to work toward the goals that you have set.

How is the Vogelsinger Soccer program different?
- It’s not a training camp, it’s a technical teaching camp.
- Students change bad habits and create new habits.
- Coaches give a step-by-step dissection of the mechanics of soccer – students are taught to have a full body experience - to feel, see, and do things the correct way so that they can continue to self-teach when camp is over.
- Students are pushed out of their comfort zone to try/experience techniques/skills they never have before.
- Practice in game like atmosphere to experience that same passion, pressure, and desire that is needed to improve and compete with the best.
- Unique and unmatched coaching method leaves students with a renewed motivation and passion for the game.
- Program has been compared to outward bound for soccer – students really need to want to improve to benefit.
Celebrating our 54th year of soccer education.
UNDERSTANDING THE PROGRAMS
1. INDIVIDUAL SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES
This is a program you cannot afford to miss. Coach Vogelsinger has distinguished himself as THE soccer educator. His passionate unwavering philosophy over the years is that a good technical foundation is the best tactical preparation. We offer a modern teaching method, uniquely innovative and highly motivational. It is the main reason for the program’s incomparable success.
—TECHNICAL SKILLS: The sessions are dynamic, taught in realistic technical skill sequences in ball control, passing, dribbling and striking with their correct tactical applications. our professional coaching staff provide realistic game-like demonstrations. He enjoyed the busy schedule and meeting new players from other countries.

The staff at the Academy assisted in my dribbling, crossing, vision and shooting. they were incredibly helpful in breaking down my game step by step and providing me with the tactics necessary to improve. Would absolutely recommend this camp to anyone looking to improve their soccer skills.

I'll never forget it
It's been over 20 years since I attended the camp, and was coaching professionally overseas. I want to thank you and Vogelsinger for helping to mold the passion inside, it was the toughest, most focused camp I've ever attended, and am incredibly grateful for the opportunity. I'll never forget it. Love what you say here about music and soccer. So true, soccer is truly an art, and you show incredible depth in what you speak of here.
— Jeff C. Allen, Camper from over 20 years ago
Look Forward to Returning
Both our sons attended a week-long camp and their skill levels improved tremendously. Additionally, their enthusiasm for the sport increased as they found fellow soccer players (some international) with which they could discuss soccer strategy, past and future soccer programs, and soccer superstars to watch. Their coaches became their friends and mentors. They both look forward to returning to the Vogelsinger Soccer Academy next year.
— Debroah B., Parent of Campers
Thank you very much, for the outstanding and amazing two weeks at the academy. I really enjoyed it and I surpassed my goals that I set myself at the begging of the academy. The coaches have been fantastic and outstanding, They have given me the confidence that I needed to become a better player and a better person!
— Elyse L., Camper 2012
My son was feeling burned out after years of club soccer and club soccer camps. The high quality international coaches and former international players introduced him to new training sessions and techniques which renewed and refreshed his love for the game. I highly recommend this camp! It was a great experience for my son.
— Lawrence M., Camper 2012
Coaches went above and beyond
My foster son arrived in the United States as a refugee from a third world country just 4 months ago. This camp helped him tremendously during a very difficult adjustment period. All the coaches went above and beyond to teach him soccer and social skills. He emerged with confidence, friendship, English skills and a positive attitude towards people from all countries. And, of course, his soccer skills improved, especially evidenced during his first days of practice on his new high schools soccer team!
— Samual H., Parent of Camper
Vogelsinger, to date, is the most professionally run camp my son has attended. He comes home inspired to play better and harder and always improves upon his skills. I would highly recommend the camp to any player or parent who is serious about the game of soccer.
— Leonila G., parent of camper
My daughter is very focused for a 9 year old goalie. We have tried many different camps but she often comes home frustrated by the lack of focus from the trainers and other campers. Vogel camp was exactly what she was looking for as a player. She loved being pushed to her limit! Emily got the opportunity to play with others who were a little older with more experience and enjoyed the challenge. I would recommend this camp to her entire travel team in the future. She is already talking about going next year!!
— Sherise L., Parent of camper
Passionate players and staff
The camp brings together kids who are passionate about soccer with coaches who are as passionate. As a result, the level of learning/play is much higher than most camps. The coaches reinforce the importance of fitness at all times. The coaches use discipline but with humor. It works.
— Genevive C., Camper
Challenging program, great results!
My daughter called me after two days and told me that this is the best camp she had ever attended. She raved that she had learned more in those two days than she could have imagined! Her goalie coaches were excellent and challenged her every day.
— Carmella P., Parent of camper
Specific keeper training
I really liked how as a goalie i was separate from the field players for a more individualized training/drills.
— Collette B., Camper
I recommend Vogelsinger to all aspiring soccer players. I had a fantastic time meeting and working with such experienced coaches from around the globe. Additionally, meeting campers and making friends with other campers from all over the glove is fantastic.
— Ryan B., Camper
Position preference unclear
My daughter plays forward for her high school team and played defense for the 2 weeks; perhaps when we register ask the parent what position the child plays and not what the child prefers toplay once they arrive; I as a parent felt as though my daughter didn't utilize her options wisely....
— Renee V., Parent of Camper 2016
The barefoot session I think helped my technique a lot. The dribbling session also helped a lot. The scrimages for the most part felt productive.
— Christian E., Camper
I loved the camp, I had a ton of fun for the two weeks I was there, and I definitely improved as a player, but also made some very strong friendships that I will carry on with me forever.
— Rolland R., Camper
Incredible Keeper Coaches
The keeper training was phenomenal. Mr. Achab did an incredible job working with my daughter and provided her with valuable skills that enabled her to participate at a higher level of play as a freshman in high school. I highly recommend the goalie camp to any keeper.
— Christin P., Parent of a Camper
Advanced players should be challenged more
I would like to have kids challenged more if they are advanced. My son who is 12 was underchallenged until he was put to play with older kids in one of the marches tiwarda end and on the Sat exhibit. He was then with 13-14 yr olds where he could play very nicely
— Mark A., Parent of camper 2016
World Class Coaches!
Vogelsinger is the best camp for serious soccer players, with intense training sessions led by world class coaches! The level of competition and fun is very high.
— Paige N., Camper
Serious Love for Soccer
Vogelsinger Soccer academy is the place to go if you are a serious soccer player and if you love the game. It is a place where you go to get better, not to fool around and do nothing but to actually improve everything about you as a soccer player. The camp can be exhausting but by the end of it, you feel as if you were a step away from playing with Messi and Iniesta.
— Dante D., Camper
It's been a fantastic experience. Playing with children from all over the world and training with great coaches from different nations is a marvelous experience for me. The location was outstanding. If you really want to learn soccer then you should go.
— Krystal S., Camper
I was hesitant about the intensity of the week but my son LOVED the camp. He made new friends, they all plan on going back next year. He is more confident not only about his soccer skills but also about handling himself away from home. It was a wonderful experience.

I feel that VS is a great way to prepare for the high school soccer season. My older sister went for 2 years and also felt it really prepared her for tryouts. I am looking forward to next year already.
— Caroline S., Camper
Excellent camp for serious players
I think Vogelsinger Camp is an excellent camp for the serious soccer player to finetune his or her skills and engance their game level. The program is intensive but loads of fun and my son is counting the days until the next camp. Could Vogelsinger offer more East coast camps in Fall/Winter and Spring as well? Could Vogelsinger expand to Europe? We live there and i think the approach with the international staff is unique and would be extremely well received in Europe!!!

I read the reviews of other campers online before I went but still really did not know what to expect from the soccer camp. It was intense work and a full day of training and I was very tired at the end of each day. I thought that the keeper training was the best I have ever had - Mustapha is the best! I can't wait to go back next year and I hope to stay for three weeks.

Down time is unstructured
the down time is very unstructured. my 11 year old son seemed a little bored in his room in the evenings.

My sons (12, 14) have just returned from a week with Vogelsinger in MA. It was their first overnight camp, so we were all hesitant and highly anxious. However, as soon as we got to the camp, they felt welcome and at home. They had no adjustment issues. They enjoyed the food and the dorms and mostly the high level of soccer. They felt like they improved and learned so much that week and we're ready to stay longer, which unfortunately, we could not let them. Yet, they are ready for next year and feel like this is the only soccer camp worth the time and the money and that's the only one they want to attend in the future. Thank you so much for a wonderful week! From a parent of two extremely satisfied boys.

Coaches are welcoming and respectful
My son Ben was very apprehensive on the first day of camp, as one of only a handful of 9-year-olds participating in the All-Star program. Vogelsinger coaches and staff made him - and me! - feel very comfortable, and he had a wonderful time during the week. The coaches and staff truly respected Ben's feelings and concerns. Oh, their soccer skills and instruction were also phenomenal!

Coaches were amazing
I enjoyed this camp a lot we worked really hard and learned a lot. The coaches were amazing. They pushed you to improve a lot but they were able to keep it fun too. Nice campus everyone on staff was really nice.

Daughter came home happy, and tired. She woke up the next morning looking for her soccer ball so she could play some more. After an intense high school season she needed to rediscover the joy of playing while improving her skills - Mission accomplished with Vogelsinger - thank you so very much.

Made new friends from all over
I really loved the Vogelsinger camp. It was such a great experience meeting people from all over the world - both coaches and players. I have made new friends from all over. I really enjoyed the level of play in the scrimmages and the training. I definitely want to return next year and for more than 1 week. It was a great time!

Packing list was misleading
The packing list was very misleading, causing us to buy extreme amounts of socks and other clothing ($$$). Laundry machines were also broken, which was very uncomfortable and inconvenient.

Skills have improved drastically
The Vogelsinger Soccer Academy is a great program. In the summer of 2013 I came for the first time for one week. I enjoyed the training so much that this past summer I came back for two weeks. My skills have improved so much and I am very happy that I decided to come back this summer. While Vogelsinger is an amazing camp it is also very intense. If you do not think that you could handle that then you do not need to do it. If you are up for the challenge I recommend you come to this camp because I had a great time and my soccer playing has improved so much.
