IMPROVE YOUR GAME AND HAVE SERIOUS FUN
Get ready for Nike Softball Camps in Boise, Idaho at Timberline High School. Leading instruction this summer will be the former Head Coach of Timberline High School Softball, John Stegmaier. All aspects and skills of the game will be addressed. This will include a skills competition as well as games that will be coached by the camp coaches. The camp will cover all facets of softball with an emphasis on hitting and fielding and gives every camper the opportunity to develop their skills further.
Camp is open to athletes of all abilities, and campers will be placed in appropriate groups to allow the best environment for improvement!

Camp Director John Stegmaier
Coach Steg has been coaching softball teams and skill development for 35 years. He has worked with the highest-level college coaches, club, and school programs. He has coached over 1200 games in his career. A great many of his players have played at the college and even professional-level softball teams. He specializes in the techniques at a level that can be understood and mastered by all. His joy is his players' success!

Camp Details
Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2024 CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: June 24-27, 2024
- Age Group: 8-18
- Camp Type: Day Camp
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-1:30pm
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time @ the field.
- Check-Out: Thursday, 1:30pm. Closing ceremony will occur at 1:00pm, parents are welcome.
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Daily Softball Instruction
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
- Nike Softball Camp T-Shirt, Cinch Sack, Wristband, Sticker, and potentially other prizes!
INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.
Facility: Batting cages, fields, tents. Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
This camp will not have an athletic trainer on-site. In case of an emergency, parents will be contacted and campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.

Day 1
- Check In: Warm-up & stretch
- Throwing technique, basic ground balls, fly balls, short hops
- Basics rotation: Outfield, Infield, Hitting
- Lunch
- Pitching, catching, baserunning, footwork, agility
Day 2
- Check In: Warm-up & stretch
- Throwing technique, Emphasis on long throws, basic ground balls, fly balls, short hops
- Basics rotation: Outfield, Infield, Hitting
- Lunch
- Pitching, catching, baserunning, leadoffs, getting out of box, rounding bases
Day 3
- Check In: Warm-up & stretch
- Throwing technique, Emphasis on finesse throws basic ground balls, fly balls, short hops
- Basics rotation: Outfield, Infield, Hitting,
- Group infield (bucket drill, situational), Group outfield play (communication, backing up, hustle drills)
- Lunch
- Pitching speed work, test for top speed
Day 4
- Check In: Warm-up & stretch
- Throwing technique, basic ground balls, fly balls, short hops
- Hitting and short game, test over hand throws, speed and long toss, hitting scores- these will be decided on Wednesday after workouts
- Lunch
- Catching pics, throw downs, test, slapping, home to 1B awards
Timberline High School in southeast Boise opened in August 1998 and is ranked among the top 1500 high schools in America by Newsweek magazine. Timberline High School, located in the state capital, is a three year comprehensive public senior high school with a current co-educational enrollment of approximately 1120 students.
