Nike Softball Camps is proud to once again have Debbie Nelson directing camp at the Rainbow Sports Complex! Coach Nelson emphasizes hard work and the importance of being a team player. She provides each camper with new softball skills and the inspiration and self-confidence to continue improving after camp.
Director Debbie Nelson is recognized as one of the top private teaching instructors in the business and is the owner of All American Sports Academy in Tracy, CA. The Academy was established in 1997 and has trained over 400 all-league, all-conference, and all-star student-athletes.

Camp Director Debbie Nelson
Coach Debbie Nelson is recognized as one of the top private teaching instructors in the business. Coach Nelson's training and coaching experience began in 1988 in Sacramento. After spending one year at St Francis High School where the team finished as CIF Champions, she spent the next six years at Sacramento State University.View Debbie's Bio ⟩
As the Assistant and Head Coach for the Sacramento State Hornets, coach Nelson's team competed in Regional and College World Series competitions. Coach Nelson also spent four years as the Head coach for the San Jose State Spartans. During Debbie's 10 years of coaching at the college level she has produced talented and top ranked teams as well as All Conference, All State, and NCAA All Americans players. Debbie also coached an 18 and under USA Team in Europe in 2001 which won the Silver Medal that year. Debbie has been a Director for the US Sports Nike Softball Camp since 1996. In 2004, Debbie joined the National Pro Fastpitch league as an assistant coach for the California Sunbirds.
As a college player, Debbie achieved All Region, All State, and NCAA All American honors while earning her Bachelors degree at Sacramento State University. Debbie enjoys coaching and teaching athletes at all levels. Debbie loves to see the self-esteem, confidence and competitive skills her students athletes achieve through participation in sports!
Assistant Director Oliver Sanchez
Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2024 CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: July 15-19, 2024
- Age Group: 7-16
- Camp Type: Day Camp
- Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00am-3:00pm
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day. Note- Lunch will be available for purchase at Rainbow Sports Complex.

- Daily Softball Instruction
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
- Nike Camp T-Shirt, Gym Sack, Player Card, and Lanyard
INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.
Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.
Small gym bag/backpack
Athletic clothing: t-shirt, shorts, softball pants (recommended)

Catchers gear (if applicable)
Packed lunch and snacks
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.

"Hello, softball players, families, and fans.
So to say that our softball staff is excited about our 2021 summer camp season would be an understatement. After losing out on all camps during the 2020 pandemic.. that experience has brought a new appreciation this summer!
The 2021 camps plan to deliver a safe & healthy experience full of skill development, game experience, video analysis, position play, speed and agility, goal setting, mental training and a ton of FUN!
So, pack your bat bags, throw in your cleats and bring your smiles as we gear up for an awesome week together playing a game we love. Can’t wait to say.. PLAY BALL !!

Rainbow Fields is a privately owned sports complex located in the central valley of California, in the city of Modesto. The facility offers four lighted softball fields with 300 foot fences and two un-lighted youth fields. There is also a 6,000 sq. ft. air conditioned clubhouse, Indoor snack bar with TV's, video games, and table seating along with a large children's playground area. Rainbow Fields is located at 3800 Claribel Rd, in the northeast corner of Modesto, at the corner of Claribel Road and Claus Road.
July 25, 2022: My daughter was able to improve skills. Lots of focused drills and training. She also gained a lot of confidence.

July 25, 2023: Learning new skills, the positive role models (all the coaches), and meeting new friends.
July 22, 2022: My daughter was so excited to go everyday and to call me at lunch to tell me about her day!
July 21, 2023: My daughter learning from these amazing coaches. She was impressed and challenged by them all.
July 21, 2023: My daughter grew so much as a player. It was a great environment and such a positive experience.
July 23, 2023: Debbie Nelson was very present, she not only interacted with the girls attending the camp but also with the parents.
July 21, 2023: The ability of the coaches to remember their campers name and basically remember in such a short time the strengths in each player
July 22, 2022: The focus on the importance of education and the expectations to play at the college level. Also having the instructors perform a defensive demonstration at full game speed.
July 21, 2023: My daughters return to multiple camps and clinics from Debbie and will continue to throughout their careers. My girls feel loved and learn so much from Oliver, Katie, and Debbie.
July 22, 2022: My daughter had an amazing experience! She had so much fun, made new friends, learned so much about the game of softball and gained a ton of confidence! Such a great camp with great staff!
July 22, 2022: My player has only been playing for a year and she left this camp feeling more confident in her skills. She learned in position play and the overall patience and friendliness of the staff was beyond expectations.
